i am the first to admit, i can not spell. no matter how many degrees i get, i know my limitations. spell check is a great friend and foe at times. i was reading a gentleman's profile and his idea of a first date was a panic on the beach. i used to correct my first husband's english - his first language was cajun french- so i felt he needed a little help. one day my mother corrected me and i never corrected him again.
i feel bad for him- i don't think anyone would want to "panic" on the beach. i'm sure women would love a nice picnic at the beach. what would you do - tell him or not? gosh, its almost like having a booger hanging out for all to see.

please, if anyone see my boogers - tell me. i.e. - please review my profile..

All your i's need to become I's.

Edit-regardless, your I's should always be capitalized if they are the first letter in a word, or all alone. It's screaming when you put the whole word in capitals.

thanks. i think i get it. texting in capitals is screaming, but on profiles, capitalization and correct punctuations is correct.

Check your grammar too--"correct punctuations is correct" should be "are correct." In your profile you mention moving in with the parent & then you mention "them." Do you have 1 parent or 2 that you're living with? One is him or her, both would be them.

Make it a funny reply.

Tell him to save the panic for the disco, and if you meet at the beach, keep it simple, like a picnic.

See if he picks up on it.

Good luck!

Agreed, please do tell him. (My rule on "hanging boogers" is: if the person can do something and solve it, let 'em know. If not, let 'er ride.)
A buddy of mine was putting her profile in for the first time (presbyopia is a witch), and accidentally went to the wrong M state. A fellow in Maryland sent her a nice message indicating that he'd looked up her zip code and found a city named that in Michigan, so she might want to fix it.

Cherie, add some more interests to your profile (a dozen or so) and see about a couple more pics. (Show the beaus what "a few extra pounds" looks like.) I see that you're separated (i.e. married); you might add a sentence about when the legals are done. Plus you talk about starting a new career, but don't mention what it is (I'm curious now!).

Laissez le bon temps rouler and bonne chance.

LoL Yes it's too bad you don't have the options of "grammar" check. I was wondering if your keyboard was missing the "upper case" or "Shift" button on it. I didn't notice one upper cased letter in your intire post. Yes if I was sitting with you eatting dinner I'd certainly want a heads up of any thing hanging or stuck to my nose.
Poor grammar an spelling doesn't bother me as long as I can decifer what the email or posting says. I see people poping out on here in the forums picking on people about spelling as if plentyoffish forums is a spelling contest. This is what I really find funny is when someone on the forums makes fun of someone's typos or misspelled words and then in the sending where they're making fun of someone's spelling or grammar they themselves have mistakes.
I get emails where the grammar and spelling is so bad . But I'm just happy they email me.

I think it's important to pay attention to spelling and grammar in your profile, just as you would make sure your resume has no errors. If nothing else, it shows you're intelligent enough to know that first impressions matter.

Typo's in emails bother me less (to a point).

Idiosyncratic typo's in IM, where people are trying to type at talking speak, often make me chuckle -- whether it's me or the other person making them.

I think a panic on the beach sounds kinda fun!!! (Seriously, I hope you do send him a friendly email, I'm sure he'd like to fix that.)
