I am talking about a real question, about a real issue, not partisan BS slander. no questions about mccain's affair, no questions about obama's church. a real question about an issue that concerns you. this is also a bit of an experiment. how long do you think this thread can go without someone going negative on a particular candidate? my guess is that it will probably happen on the first page. | |

I have recently read that you believe we should have another stimulus package. I believe the figure you used was 1000.00 per person, so they could help cover there increased gas costs. Now you claim this could be paid for by taxing the oil company's windfall profits. I did a simple math calculation and for every million people you give a thousand dollars to you will have to tax the oil company's 1 billion dollars. It's seems obvious to me that this mathmatically will not work out as the oil company's didn't make 100's of billions in any kind of profit. So my question is how do you really plan to pay for this idea? | |

I think I'd ask the same question to all candidates, in the interest of fairness.
"What do you bring to the table in this election, without going negative on your opponents in any way, that you feel is the most important strength you have - and why is that important to America, Americans, and the future of this country?
Please limit your answer to one delivered in three minutes, or less.  "

I think you are just upset because you did not think, of the idea first. I didn't ask for a list, I asked for a question. so do us a favor, ask a question, or get the hell off of the thread, understand? people are sick of all the partisan whining. ask a question, or get out, and stop wasting our time. you can debate someones question, or discuss someones question, I just don't want the BS that hijacks every single thread to hijack this one. there is nothing "listy" about trying to keep a thread on track. | |

you don't have to limit it to just one question. I just want to know what major concerns are, without some of the stupid questions that always seem to derail a thread. I got a question that doesn't come up as much anymore.
what is the best solution for illegal immigration? no one wants to deport them, yet no one wants to hold businesses responsible. would the fair tax be a good way of getting people to pay their "fare share?" | |

The people of the U.S. have enjoyed the benefits of a great standard of living for generations now, much of which has be due to semi-artificial barriers in the world which are changing rapidly (example and especially: the isolation of China which is now bringing 1.3 billion people on-line as both producers as well as consumers in the world, but whom also are more experienced in living on less and in lower standards). As globalism's ultimate result will inevitably be the leveling of the playing fields, both on the production side as well as on the consumption side, how are you going to convince (and lead) Americans to accept more meager lifestyles in comparison to the previous generation's (or do you have an "out" as for how we will maintain and continue meeting our heightened expectations)? And as well as a half-follow-up, how do you see America participating globally in this new world's arrangements, and in-fact in particular, how do you see us proceding with China in light of this issue as well as in light of other issues going on there now? | |
