Got this line a few months ago and just wanted to plead with you men and women out their that are about to break up with someone to not use this line. I have heard from others recently that they have gotten this line as well. Dont know if this is the new way to breakup with someone gently or if its on Cosmo's hip things to say list. I personally dont like it because it cheapens the word love. What do you guys think?

It is tough to choose the right words. What do you think she could have said to make it more palatable?
On a lighter note, I heard this line, suppposedly actually used : "It's been real and it's been nice, but not real nice". Wonder why I find that funny? | |

I guess what that line means is that one has a deep affection for the person.. but they can live without them.

And heartbroken, i didnt care. I packed my bags, took my preteen daughters and walked out the door. And the redneck rethought it and came after me.
And stupid me. I walked back. I KNEW he was not husband material. and told him so. He would come in all sweaty. Take a shower before ever coming to bed. I knew he had been out dancing!!!! Make every excuse under the sun to go out with his "buds." but no matter what, i wasnt invited. Hurt my daughters to death. They would tell him, MOM needs to get out of the house too!!!
He called me up and says, I dont know if ...you .....expect me to tell you this, but i do love you. but ....im not IN LOVE with you.
Then....when he popped the question a few months later, . I just up and said no way.....you think i will honestly marry a MAN who "loves me but aint IN LOVE with me! pffffffffttttttt!!!!" lmao! And so he said, I AM in love with you ....HAHA! BOY did that kill him to actually say that!!! he had told me I LOVE YOU too. without the "BUT IM NOT IN LOVE" so i knew he now loved me, but still it was funny to hear him actually SAY IM IN LOVE IWTH YOU"
but in reality......i think a man that says that , really is stumped. he dont know what wants in life. steer clear!!! | |

In my books its a translation of my ex saying in a very polite way that she does not want to have a relationship with me at all ever. The friendship line after being dumped is all bull shit. Majority of times its their way to ease the breakup and the pain. People are too busy in their own lives with their current occupation, upgrading their education skills, their circle of friends, and their families. Once i'm done, i'm done. If they did me wrong during the relationship, then they're gonna do me wrong as a friend. | |
