Do you remember your first kiss?

I was just five years old, coming back from a field trip on a school bus. Can't remember where I went or what I saw, but I still remember what happened on the way back.

Like children often do during car rides, I fell asleep. I was awakened by the kiss from a girl in my kindergarden class. What did I do? I closed my eyes and pretended to be asleep. Sure enough I got another kiss but this time from a different girl. After a few more kisses, I couldn't pretend any longer and "woke up."

The two girls, I, and the other children on the bus, boys and girls, started laughing because at that age boys are icky and girls have cooties. It was years before I kissed another girl, but that is another story.

Now it's your turn to tell about your first kiss.

My first kiss was from the boy next door we were 6. We were playing in my play house, he decided to kiss me and I answered back by giving him a black eye. Lol poor guy but I will admit I don't react quite like that anymore.

I do... My mother did my waist-length hair up in a tidy little bun, dressed me in my best clothes and sent me off to my "wedding" to a neighbor boy who'd given me a ring with a "beeyoootiful" pink rose and asked to marry me. We hiked on down the "aisle" (an old Coke sign) to where the preacher (my sister) stood at the altar (old kitchen stool) with Bible (real Bible) in hand and exchanged our vows (yuppers... I'll share my candy with you...). Then we ran in a hail of rice (thank God fertility wasn't possible) to a hillside (a knoll behind my house) where we sat for the afternoon (waiting on our mothers to call us for supper and trying not to quibble). His older sister came along and asked us if we had "consummated" the marriage. We just looked at one another and shrugged. (We didn't know what that big word meant.) Then she told us she'd give us each a quarter if we would kiss (BIG perbert!) and of course a quarter was a lot of money (not for a down payment on a house or anything but you could buy a whole lot of penny candy back then). So we kissed... quickly and with a great deal of inhibition...

Then... his sister ran away without paying us our quarters...

My first kiss... married and ripped off at the same time... Divorced by 6 p.m. and in my jammies by 8...

I was 5 years old and marrying an (ahem) "older man"... He was 6...

Strangely enough, we met again in a big city far away from our marriage place, purely by chance... and had a damn good laugh...

I remember like it was yesterday. We were 5. Alan was swinging upside down on the monkey bars. He shocked me with a kiss on an upswing. I shocked him by slapping him because father had always said "if a boy tries to kiss you slap him". Poor Alan. Funny, it didn't discourage him. He was my "boyfriend" until his family moved.

Hi timothypaul

From you example I am guessing you are talking about the first actual kiss and not the first "real" kiss.

I was eight and I got into a fight with an eight year old boy at recess. He was making fun of the little bumps in my chest. The bumps where actually toilet paper that I used to try and make myself look like Madonna, my favorite celebrity at the time.

We fought and I pinned him in your typical schoolgirl pin. I was a better fighter and us girls were bigger than the boys at that age. Then the others kids started daring me to put dirt in his mouth or pull his hair all of which I did. Then someone said "kiss him kiss him." Soon all the kids started chanting "kiss him."
So I did, right on the lips. It was quick and I barley felt it but the memory has stayed with me forever. I do remember he was teased by the other kids for weeks about being beaten up and kissed by a girl.

I do not even remember the boys name and he moved away at the end of that school year. Oddly, after he moved, the incident was never mentioned again until around 9th grade when every so often I would hear one of the guys say..."You can pin and kiss me any day."

His name was Paul, a neighbour boy. Both around 5 yrs old... stayed great friends until about age 12 when said he was sorry he couldn't hang out with me any more because the other kids were teasing him about us being gf/bf. LOL, I thought it was the WORST case of cowardice... and refused to forgive him when he came back around at age 18 to ask me out on a date. Oh my, I was righteous about it, lol

Paul, if you're out there... I forgive you!

First grade. This one boy had a crush on me. He'd wait behind the bus barn for me. I'd walk by and he'd catch me and kiss me. Silly me....I kept walking the same way for weeks!

I think I must have been a late developer or something cause I was 13. My first kiss was from the most popular guy at school who was 2 years above me. I had horses and had taken him out riding and after returning the horses to the stables he kissed me. Of course his interest in me only lasted for the duration of his interest in horses and I was dumped a week or so later when he began dating the most popular girl in school leaving me crying into my riding hat!!! First love is always a sore one.... xxx

I was 11 years old...his name was Vicente and he was 13. He was the "bad boy" of the block. A dirt bike riding (later in life it was a Harley) bad-ass that all the girls on the block wanted. I became the only Tomboy trying to get his attention. I knew how to take my bike apart and put it back together! I would jump ramps with the boys and run around on my 2 wheels like a lightning rod! All the while, he was into me BIG TIME!

Our first kiss happened in the entryway of my friends house and looking back at it, it was rather cute how it went down. I wonder where he is today. :( He was a better kisser at 13 than some men I've met in my 30's!

Tim, I wasn't going to be honest but the truth is I was 3 years old. Dale who lived next door was about 5 and he and I were good friends. I was moving on the day that he grabbed my hand and ran with me to the side of my grandmother's house. He led me under the house and kissed me. It was romantic as heck because we were lying down. My mother never knew, I just heard her call me to come get in the car.

Yep. We were playground mates, four years old and we were inclined to get married when we grew up. My family moved when I was six, though, and that put an end to those plans. :-)

Funny enough I just met him again about a couple of months ago, and we had a blast. He has moved on to have an incredible (and incredibly interesting) life, and we have stayed in touch. Not because we want to hook up again to pursue that marriage thing, blimey, but because we have a lot in common.

I was sixteen and it was just after play practice. The boy I'd been hanging around with walked me to my upstairs locker. It was dark except for the waning daylight the large stairwell window provided. As I had my locker open he asked how old I was. He had one hand on the open locker door. I told him 16. He said 16 and never been?....as he leaned in the question left hanging as he slowly kissed me.
It was the perfect, romantic, first kiss.
It's many moons later and I still am friends with him!

It was the cool crisp start of november. I was talking with my first girlfriend, Katie. Snow just started to fall around 3am. She was shivering so I got a blanket out of my car to warm her up and I leaned in for it. Magical I guess you could say but still very real. That was an awesome night.

Lol. OMG! Yes I do!

He was a few years older than me (hmm, wonder if that was the start of a trend, never thought of that before), I think my bike was the thing he found most engaging about me!

I kissed him in my parent's porch right in the doorway and the danger of being caught made it exciting, I dont think I really thought he was that special even then!(Hmm, trend implications again!)

Oh dear, that's kinda worrying!

I remember my first kiss and it was from my girlfriend in the 3rd grade.
As I look back on it know it was funny because at that time guys and girls did't think about dating then and thought it was gross but we did't think so. Theresa,...where are you?

I remember us breaking up afterwards and did't see each other for years. 4th grade came Martha. Theresa went to another scool. One day I was playing ball and made friends with a 3rd baseman. It was Theresa's boyfriend. He kept an eye on me (how could he miss, I was a catcher) but I'd never cheat. She grew up very nicley.

My first kiss.... oh man. I was one of those who was terrified of being kissed precisely because of "cooties." This fear did not abate well into adolescence, and by the time of my high school prom in June 1974, I still had not kissed a girl. I was madly and hopelessly in love with Lisa, a girl I'd been chasing throughout high school. We'd been quite close, but not romantic, though not for lack of trying on my part. After a year and a half of rejections, she finally "came around" just in time for the senior prom. I borrowed my dad's blue 1971 Buick Riviera, an otherworldly car that was the size of a boat and looked more like a rocket ship than a car, and which had the neatest motorized car seats, which were right out of a James Bond movie. I dressed up in a pair of gray jacquard pants, a blazer with the widest lapels you've ever seen, and a big blue bow-tie my mother had bought for me. We went to the prom at Leonard's of Great Neck, a beautiful catering hall in Long Island. I recall slow-dancing to "Colour My World," played by the house band that called themselves "The Commodores" after our high school football team. (Unlike the Commodores of Lionel Richie fame, these were four very straight-laced white guys in suits.) My friend Eric and his girlfriend Margie were dancing nearby, and Eric and I looked at each other with s***-eating grins on our face, as if not to believe our good fortunes. To this day, that song put me right back on that dance floor.

Afterward, I drove her home, and walked her up to her apartment. I can't recall if she looked at me the right way, or just flat out asked me what was I waiting for, but all I know is we kissed for what seemed like hours, but was probably a minute or two. Our tongues danced, then entwined, and her lips were full, soft and wonderful. I was so aroused I thought I'd rip my pants, and I was intoxicated by the experience. I doubt I slept that night, just dreaming of that kiss.

Lisa was the great love of my life. We dated on and off for several years. In 1985, eleven years later, I ran into her when visiting my parents shortly before they left Bayside. She was visiting from Denver, where she had relocated several years earlier. We wound up having a beautiful date on July 4th of that year. It ended with a walk through all our old spots, and then a long, lingering kiss, still magical, if surreal. She went back to Denver, and wrote me that she was very happy with her life and her boyfriend there, and that we could not "go back home" again. We never spoke again, and I can find no trace of her, so she remains a beautiful memory. Sigh....
