| Dees Dances Posted: 8/24/2008 7:38:55 PM | I wanted to see how many people would be interested in meeting at the local traveling dances referred to as Dee's Dances. Each Saturday night the dance is held throughout the Salt Lake and Utah County area's. They do uphold LDS Standards but are not hosted by the church. I believe it's a good low cost way to meet and chat without the pressure of one on one dating. What do you think? | |

Dee's Dances was established as an alternative to the single's dances sponsored by the LDS church on Friday nights. In addition to renting fun and interesting locations, Dee's Dances has the flexibility t0 play a more contemporary mix of music, which is what has always made us popular. We can also vary the atmosphere by providing theme dance parties. Those in attendance still need to adhere to high standards which include a dress and conduct code.

Our goal is to provide a wholesome, clean alternative social event for you to meet other quality single adults. We enforce a dress and conduct code so that all patrons will feel comfortable at every dance without being offended by revealing clothing and inappropriate conduct. Dee's Dances provides a much needed alternative to the "bar scene". | |

| Dees Dances Posted: 10/28/2008 7:51:35 PM | I have gone there and it is a nice place to chat and dance. A few of my male friends liked it as well. They travel to Masonic Lodge, Trolley Sq, Culture Center, Salt lake Community Center, Wheeler Farm, and down in Linden (Noah's). It starts at 0930 until 12:30. R. | |

| Dees Dances Posted: 11/2/2008 11:13:49 PM | Yes.... They have a website.... and a hotline you can call.... (Forum rules won't allow me to post the website address or phone number so google it) I went to one last week and had a lot of fun. Quite a few people there... mostly a mature crowd. I felt kinda young at 39... I think the majority of people there were aged 30's to 50's... there were a couple of younger people in their 20's but mostly it was people more mature. It wasn't too dark or too loud and the music they played was mostly top 40's type stuff.
Their next dance is scheduled SATURDAY 11/08/08 at Wheeler Farm and is from 9:00 pm- 12:15 am. Admission: $8.00. Apparently they have dance lessons starting at 8:30.
A lot of singles and not very many couples were there. Have fun! Maybe I'll see some of you at one in the future.
