I'm not, personally, because the accumulation of material possessions says nothing about a person's character.
Except to pronounce their greed in certain cases.

So, realistically, it could be counted against you if you list everything you own.

Posted: 6/14/2005 9:10:21 AM | | absolutely nothing wrong with it in my opinion..i show my car on here...doesn't mean i am selfish or greedy or anything else...definitley not compensating for anything..lol...i am proud of what i have accomplished and i want to share that accomplishment....i think the same goes for the men...they have worked hard to earn..fix...rebuild..whatever their vehicles...boats..house etc and they just want to show it in pride...not to be conceited... | |

The toys I have in my sock drawer are a whole lot more interesting to me then the ones men have in their profiles.
I'd LOVE to see those on the ladies' pro's.....that would be hysterical!
I get a kick out of it when a 55 year old guy has a pic of a vette ot a TA...up.
I quit driving those uncomfortable things years ago. I go with a Town Car or a Grand Marquis. (Truck just for Home Depot or pulling a boat.) The year doesn't matter. (Other than I prefer 92 up because of the 4.6 distributerless ignition system.)
The Marquis that I'm driving right now is a cherry 92. Should I post a pic to turn you girls on?
Oh, btw....sex is much better in a sedan. | |

As a woman, retired from the army, I have acquired many possessions. Women tend to not post them as men do. It doesn't mean that I'm not proud of them, it's just that they are not as important to me as they are to men.

Posted: 6/14/2005 11:29:31 AM | To me...you put in your profile what is important to you. If a man considers his possessions important to him, he's not for me.
I also do think it's a mark of insecurity that a man feels he needs that extra edge to attract someone. I like a man who is self assured, and comfortable in what he has to offer a woman WITHOUT all the dollar signs.
Another point? I see women getting slammed in here for showing cleavage and having up sexy photos.....they are accused of "dangling bait". Isn't that what these guys are doing in a sense? | |
