The last thing I was expecting, let alone looking for was to fall in love. I thought I might find a compatible companion with whom I could spend my free time, etc.

Just as I was about to give up ( I didn't seem to have enough time to date anyway) I got talking to a guy who seemed interesting, and lived close enough to actually meet (although we almost didn't).

Our first date, a lunchbreak coffee in Starbucks ended up lasting 9 hours (no we didn't stay in Starbucks)!lol!!!

Needless to say, I wasn't expecting to be 'in love' again, it took a very special man to gain my trust. (and I was on POF for a year, being choosy)

All the best to those of you who haven't yet found what you're looking for, there are all kinds of people on here and in the world. What you're looking for is out there somewhere as long as you believe in yourself

Did I mention I'm in love!?!

Grats on your success but it would sure be nice to see something different than that for a change... such as "I was deliberately seeking my true love, and I found them!". Everyone always makes it seem like such an unexpected thing when they find happiness. Are people just too uncomfortable to admit it that they *are* looking for it and hoping for it?

other op above me - you cant really explain love - its does mysteriously show up when you at least expect it when you are open to the possibility. There is no time nor place when love will hit you in the face.

I met my man on here,we have been together for over a year now,my kids love him and he now lives with us. He is the sweetest most caring man I have met.

Sh*t happens in life and sometimes you were just not meant to be together but can still be great friends. The great guy and I are no longer together but remain very good friends.
