| Fall time Posted: 9/12/2008 11:23:46 PM | This evening I am bored. Restless. Short of breath. I get this way every once in a while but only in certain seasons. I guess it's in my blood from generations back. Who knows where it comes from but every fall time I get this anxiety of wanting ... ready to move on somewhere. Go.
So the after midnight walks on the beach begin. It takes only 7 minutes to get to the beach, down the long stairs to reach the open bay area with the million trillion twinkling stars up above. Or they're covered by the clouds making it more pitch black. But often I can hear the tide rolling in, wind blowing in the trees and the calmness of the night reverbrating all around me. The silence but the sounds of nature fill the air, hardly noticing the cold until finally my hands feel like ice and my feet actually feel seperated from the soles of my shoes by the frigid air.
My mind tells me it's time to move on but my sensibility tells me I must stay and finish what I've worked so long to establish. But yet... my fight begins. Restlessness lasts a night, daytime brings the old comfort of running everywhere but to myself.
Alas, the cold evening comes too soon where the old wanderer in my blood appears yet again. The open bay beckons and I answer willingly.
The circle has begun.. | |
