What is it with the women on here with unrealistic expactations of the men if you havent got movie star looks and/or deep pockets you havent got a chance. Believe me, Plenty of Fish is actually better than all the pay sites. I've actually had a few dates from Plenty of Fish. I've tried a few pay sites and all I got was spam or women demanding all financial disclosures before I could even chat with them. --And if you think the women on this site are only after status/money don't go to Yahoo personals. The women on this site are "giving and generous Mother Teresa types" Compared to the the women on Yahoo personals. | |

I thought about deleting my profile on here also. Its not just Women full of crap,
Men are just as bad, they feed you with a line of shit one after another.
I have met a few nice guys on here, but for the most part they are either
emotionally attached MARRIED or just plain looking for sex and not man enough to admit it.
BUT I do know, That I am real, What I want is real, and If I am on here, then there has to be someone somewhere that is real too.
Guess sometimes you gotta get out there and keep throwing your line in, eventually something will bite and we will quit reeling in the seaweed and old shoes lol... atleast I hope. | |

As for my opinion, there is nothing wrong with this site. Okay, there are some flakes or player's but that goes for the guys too. Like he said, try paying and watch the spam flow.
This is someonwhat like an on-line candy store unlike meeting someone on the outside and can be a downfall but please"pof" people, remember it's free! A lot of people are genuine and sincere believe it or not. I have seen in first hand by chatting and e-mail's.
The women on here are not all **** and if a guy has to go to the lentgh of posting it, that shows me he has a meanstreak before leaving and didn' t give "pof" enough time.
Just delete your profile and walk away if you're not satisfied but I'd think twice before doing it. I bet you will be sorry after you do . Everything comes in time. It could be tomorrow, next month or 6 months. Go out too and leave this as an option. You never know. Take a deep breath and relax. Check your mail once in a while if you are discouraged with

They just play games or just want sex or they all want a very active, fit, slim, petite woman when they are not at all what they are asking us to be. Do they think we all sit around eating candy bars and doing nothing. Some of us have not always been this way and being this way now was beyond our control due to past medical issues. And we are trying to do something about it. I'm sorry if I have offended anyone but I think a reality check is needed. We women have children. It changes our bodies. We are all getting older, it changes our bodies. If you men are willing to offer up the bucks I'm sure we'd all be willing to get the plastic surgery to become barbie for you. | |

LOL I don't remember!!! or "I lik eyour profile"...really??? what about it did you like?... be specific so I know you really did read it!!! At least when I send something out I am specific to something that is said in their profile so they know it is specific to them. But alas, as soon as they look at my profile and see I'm a "BIG" girl I get no response. Talk about shallow!! I am a nice person, and have a decent personality, but no one will take the time to find out because we are judged on our appearance first, (men and women) which is really to bad. People could really be missing out on their soul mate and will never know because of their shallowness. | |

Not everyone on an online dating site is full of crap, there really are some great ones out there. I've met a number of women from this site who are truly wonderful people and I've developed some very great friends. If it doesn't work out, it merely means you weren't what they were seeking. What's wrong with that. I'm sure there are a number of women on here you wouldn't go out with because they aren't what you are looking for either.
Don't be delusional in thinking that all fake and phoney people are only found online. Remember, every one of those people behind the compuer screen is out there in the world somewhere. They are in the night clubs, supermarkets, parks, etc where we might also meet a potential partner. The computer just makes those people a little braver and makes it easier to hide.
The whole world is a huge fish pond with a lot of "trash" fish in it, but there are also plenty of keepers and some real trophies. How often do you go fishing and catch one worth mounting? A true fisherman keeps fishing time and again even after not catching anything.
Go ahead and give up, just leaves that many keepers out there for the rest of us to find. | |

We did the email thing and then our first conversation on the phone lasted over two hours. We met for lunch and my face hurt from smiling by the time we both had to leave.
We have a date tomorrow which I am very excited about. I actually met a funny, smart and very very beautiful girl who is looking for exactly what I am.
Don't get me wrong, I may just have hit the lottery but for myself I am glad I took the chance. I may have never met her had I not signed up.
Guys..listen. There are many of us that have been scarred due to past marriges ect. I myself was married for 14 vears and had the rug pulled out from under me. I was devistated and did not even remember what it was like to be single.
I did the bar thing and just remember this...If you shop at Kmart all you get is a blue light special. Just be yourself. Contact the people who interest you and see what happens. There are still great people out there.
I have always said that there is a butt for every seat!
Just hang in there.....remember that sometime Love takes a long time to find it's way to you. Until it does don't forget what makes you happy. Get out there and find it. The worst that can happen is they say "No" and we should all be used to hearing that by now.
