Posted: 9/21/2008 7:47:12 PM | This seems like the best forum to put this in, so, is anyone here on Plenty of Fish a fan of the TV show Supernatural? I started watching it a few years ago, and love it. I'm fascinated by the idea of the possilibity of demons manifesting themselves here on Earth and also in the paranormal in general. I dunno if demons can actually posess people like on the show, but the show is really entertaining! I love the way Dean and Sam get along and meet all those awesome women (even though some are demons! :) ). Anyone else?

I hate how good shows get canceled so quickly. I like those topics as well. Let it be Vampires, ghosts or whatever. Great stuff, very entertaining. | |

Pretty much formula writing, but still entertaining. I love how they would use actual Urban Legend folklore. I think some of the writing crew were involved with "X-files" also.
The Wendigo episode was really spot on about the legend. I was really surprsied no one thought of it before (other than the X-man comics). | |

So far my favourite episodes are the ones involving The Trickster Demon.
The season premiere was a little disappointing, but also a little cool because of what it foreshadows.
I get this feeling that Sam and Dean are not going to be working for the same side for long.

Kinda like a Back to the Future episode.
Anyone who watch the show think something is odd about how when Sam uses his powers to exorcise demons?
In last week's episode they made a point of reminding the audience that people's souls are still in their body and if the body isn't mortally wounded, they regain control of their body after a demon is exorcised. | |

But when satan shows up next season and if they get a child to play the character then that's it. I can't deal with that crap.
I've noticed more and more episodes seem to be season filler or finale prolonging episodes, with really bad writing. i.e. churning out episodes for the bucks rather than a lot of thought to a plot.

Thanks for posting that link, I have it saved on my youtube account, it's always good for a laugh, Jensen is so funny.
I caught the show when it first came on because I love shows that deal with ghost, demons, vamps, etc like Buffy The Vampire Slayer or Angel and thought I watch this and see how it was and fell in love with it and got my mom hooked aswell. I don't watch the new shows now because I'm comming home from work when it's on but I own seasons 1-3 on dvd and will buy the next season to see what's going on that I missed. | |

The whole episode with Dean becoming infected with the scared sickness was good too.
Someone made a music video of the one scene where he screams.
I think Dean is used as comic relief a lot. You can look up on youtube "Dean Winchester+food" and see all the videos people made, showing how often he is stuffing his face during the show. There was an episode where Sam had to tell a version of stuff that happened, and in his version Dean's cheeks were stuffed with food half the time.

We were in bed asleep when my then wife woke up crying and told me that some thing terrible had happened to someone close to her but she did not know who. It was 2:10 in the morning. About 120 miles away at that moment, the car in which her cousin was traveling crossed the center line and collided with another car. He was killed instantly. We had been with him the day before.
It was too much of a coincidence for it to have been anything else but some kind of paranormal communication. We said nothing about it at the funeral and it still haunts me to this day.
I do like Supernatural, we get it on the Space Channel. Do I believe that anything on that show could be real? Yes indeed I do but not on the Hollywood scale they portray. Entertaining on a scale of ten, I'd give it an 11. | |
