Pof has afforded me the opportunity to "meet" some of the most amazing people I have ever had the privilege to know! I came for the dating and stayed for the forums.. I could go on and oooooon about how much I have learned through my fave forum (religion/supernatural) and the fabulous people who shared their views therein. The diversity helped me to grow in a way that a like-minded only group NEVER could! Yes, there were some heated moments, but through those moments, I was able to learn the most! The biggest lesson for me is that on the other side of divisiveness is unity, and I would never have come to this understanding otherwise.
I will not complain about the recent decision to shut down the religion/politics/current event forums, but essentially, my reason for being here is now gone. I would probably have stayed had those of us concerned about the closure been given an answer as to whether this alteration would be permanent or not. Since that has not been forthcoming, my self respect will simply not allow me to stay.
But aside from all of that, from start to finish, this site has aided in my transformation, and I am eternally grateful for that! Thanks Pof and goobye

Throughout our lives, we'll all come across certain individuals who help us to somehow become better people. I can honestly say that this young lady was one such person in my life.
I recall a time recently, when I just really needed advice, and was not sure where else to turn. So after a bit of hesitatition I decided to seek the quidance of one of the wisest and most level-headed people I could think of.
I'm extremely greatful for the advice, encouragement, and friendship.
