I did a search and couldn't find anything about the strangeness of the forum post times lately.

When I look at threads and times people have posted, they are constantly changing. Occasionally they are correct, but not very often. It used to be consistent to Pacific Time for the British Columbia servers, I think. Now, you just never know.

Am I the only one who's noticed this weirdness?

I've noticed this as well although it appears to be newer threads which are showing only in Pacific time whereas the older threads are showing in my timezone - Eastern.

No? Yikes! I haven't slept for more than like 15 minutes since this started happening! I never know what the hell time it is!

Servers are on Pacific Time and will show in that time zone - as to if they change later when viewed in our time zone - it would appear so - just not sure when they revert. Little test here to leave some time markers and view this later.

Thanks for the reply and for checking.... I notice it when I go to MyForums. I asked ItsMargo who lives in Ontario and she said she is seeing the same thing... I'm assuming it's when she looks at threads she's participated in as well.

Cheers.

Here's a post from a few years I forgot about Posting Times

Posting times here in the HELP forum continue to show in PACIFIC time - even 2 years ago - I seem to recall that it's different in other forums.

who knows ...

Hmmm... not sure if it's the same issue.

When I read your post, the time stamp is 9/23/2008 630 PM.

When I look at the post time in MyForums, it's 9/24/2008 2:44 AM and it WILL change in the next little while.

This never happened before. I live in BC so when I looked at times for posts' time stamp they have always corresponded to my time zone until a few weeks ago.

Cheers.

Every single User in this Thread having Issues with the Forum Time Stamps happens to be running Internet Explorer 6.0

What happens if you delete your Cookies & Temporary Internet Files and/or give Firefox a shot?

^^^^ I'll give that a try, though I'm running IE 7 on one of my other computers and the same thing is happening.

Thanks. Cheers.

Same thing here, but it readjusts itself one hour after midnight. It has something to do with the program that microsoft uses for time management.

I'm in CST-6 hours in Texas. [Just one more reason why Internet Explorer is user
unfriendly and outdated as a browser.] Yeah, I need Firefox too I guess.

Here's an interesting thing. I deleted my cookies and temp files and came back to POF. When I clicked on Forums, the time stamp was correct. When I logged in to see my fora, the timestamp changed. Log out again, it goes back to the correct time.

I'll go try logging out and back in on the computer running IE 7.

Your User Agent does not reflect the update which it usually does.

When I logged in to see my fora, the timestamp changed. Log out again, it goes back to the correct time.

Perhaps a Cookie Issue. Try Firefox ... see what happens.

Tried both IE 7 and Firefox

looks like it's a hit and miss - some forums will post in Pacific Time - some in my local time

A hew thread search listing shows local EST time on all posts in the forum thread list, but when you view the actual thread post , it may be Pacific or local EST

Conclusion - No consistency

Action - Not losing sleep
