The little ditty in the title was the best part...it was always bush anyway. Like playing paper rock scissors but only having rocks.... then marbles came along.

Posted: 9/28/2008 3:09:46 PM | | Never heard of the game you are talking about. Weirdest ( I wouldn't use this term to describe the childhood games I played ) couldn't really say. A different game from most that I played was called " Skillet ". We'd play it in Baltimore, Maryland (my home town, on the west-side of town they called it, " Skully " (The real technical name). I played on the east-side (the same side of town as Memorial Stadium). This game would really draw you in when you'd play it. The great thing about it was we'd play right in front of the house so parents always knew where we were when we'd play it. The game is rather involved and would take too long to explain here, but needless to say, playing it helped us all to learn more about our friends. The best time of my life as a child. | |

Sure,then I'd hide in the smoke house and they would lock me in. Wanna go craw fishing? They would rub bacon on my fingers and stick them in the water. Dance,they would say after watching a western,No,I don't want to,so they shot me in the ankle with a bb-gun. I danced. Ever been rolled down the road in a large tire? Shot with china berries in a sling shot? I don't know how I survived. | |

When a car drove by, they would rollerskate down one of the driveways, grab onto the fender of the car, and ride as far as they could down the street. We were all around eleven or twelve years of age at the time. The boys probably did this foolishness in an attempt to impress the girls. Reality is that we were laughing at them!!!
I never liked playing crack the whip when our class went skating, simply because I was often the one used as the projectile. Needless to say, I haven't been skating since about the 7th grade!
One of my family members used to light a match then spray the Lysol can, sometimes causing a flame to shoot out at least a foot or two. And he wasn't always outside when he did this. Silly kid...... | |

Remember lighting gasers? In military school I fell for alittle game called "Shoot the Moon" I'm not going to say anymore about that. | |
