In general, it seems the economy has always done better under Democrats.....foreign policy under Republicans......at least, historically, till the present administration......
I don't think Obama knows what he is in for, I would ALMOST rather see Hilary in the driver's seat.....OK, that gives me nausea, too.......
I consider myself a Republican.......but may just have to vote Democratic this time.......and may the dear Lord protect and keep us....... | |

McCain has been taking medications for TSD...(Traumatic Stress Disorder) from his POW days. Much like Reagan in his early stages of Alzheimer's disease while he is in presidency....I find that there will be members of government that will be running the country under the table while the president is just a cover.
Obama...He was abandoned by his mother and father...took drugs in his college years....was manipulated by a anti white church who fed their parishoners hatred for THE MAN. You can't beat THE MAN....if you have not been in HIS shoes...once you have been in his shoes..........you know you can beat them by changing.......the beat of america. He can be manipulated............that is what is scary about the whole thing. | |

Posted: 10/5/2008 8:54:27 AM | After watching McCain and Palin's performances in the debates and recent interviews, I cannot believe that any intelligent person would still take these two seriously.
When McCain and Obama were selected as their parties' candidates, I actually thought that we were finally going to get an election where I could feel confident with either candidate winning. During the course of the campaign it has become clear that McCain is not the same person he once was, as a matter of fact it is like watching him age before our very eyes!
And how anyone can say Palin's complete lack of experience is comparable with Obama is beyond me. She has a BA in journalism from Idaho State, he is a Harvard-degreed lawyer whose area of concentration was Constituional Law!
Don't get your information from tv commercials and 30 second sound bites. Don't get your information from either campaign. And above all else, do not confuse these opinion shows with actual reporting, these guys ALL have their own agenda. There are non-partisan groups out there who gather the facts for you, and then it is up to you to make your own decision.

There is a pattern here that is repeating itself. Things aren't going well, so I need to elect a Democrat to take care of me. All those entitlements are too good to pass up ...
Remember, there is no free lunch! And change up until now has been a scary word for those that understand it. No matter what your opinion of unions is, do you think it was an easy thing for the first labor organizers who sought to gain rights from the company? I think not. | |

Past 8 years of Republican control - $6 trillion added to deficit, housing collapse, Iraq war, Patriotic act, unemployment 9% in Michigan....

That's why they say he needs to be up 6-8% in the polls, to cover the people who are for him but when they get in the voting booth can't pull the lever because he is black.

I see no real change in the direction our country is going from either of them as they both will end up towing their party line. We need someone who will think and act independently and gain cooperation from both sides of the aisle. Of course there is a great deal of bias in my opinion towards both of them since the bailout was passed. I may end up writing in a 3rd party candidate for the first time with the hope that many more of my fellow Americans will do the same. The write in candidates will not win, but if enough people do it, it will send a loud clear message to Washington that ‘We the People’ are sick of business as usual. | |

Posted: 10/6/2008 12:49:13 PM | wow, just heard from ANOTHER friend that she is losing her house. she did an ARM on her home a few years back, and with the taxes being raised a few times, and the huge ARM due, her payment is $1,943 per month. the bank will not work with her. nice. and the reason they won't work with her is she LOST HER JOB. no job, no house. she lost the job, the ARM is due, and along with all her other mounting bills and kids, she's forced to move in with her brother. last week she sent out 43 resumes. the months preceding that, it's hundreds......to no avail. this is a hard working gal.....dear, god, let's pray things can turn around

We're doing beautifully...taxes are down, jobs are up...all is wonderful in our little state isn't it? What a wonderful future we all have here in Michigan under a democrate...Pfffft!
And before anyone says it's Engler's fault...how long can that card be used?
