| Being Thankful Posted: 10/7/2008 7:15:33 PM | On January 31, 1957, the Canadian Parliament proclaimed:
"A Day of General Thanksgiving to Almighty God for the bountiful harvest with which Canada has been blessed .. and to be observed the second Monday in October"
This year I am thankful ....
- for another fabulous year surrounded by supportive family n friends - for a lot of laughter - that both of my children are healthy n happy, and that my boy is back in school! - that my both of my parents are still around for me to hug daily - for Dr. D and the rest of the group - for 9 glorious days in Mexico this past April - that divorce negotiations are OVER! (oops..didn't mean to yell) - for 4 doors instead of 2 - that I finally made it to PR to see my stinkerpot - for chocolate - that sometimes maybe means yes - for a pretty amazing first date
What are YOU giving thanks for this year?

I am thankful that people care about me and that I have people to care about.

|
| Being Thankful Posted: 10/7/2008 8:15:43 PM | aww Bella, your inspirational!
The last years 'good stuff' ~incredible friends that know who they are! ~Strength...that got me through the rough stuff and finished the tough stuff! ~courage..to take steps I never knew I could, alone ~mortgage approval, to get my own place just in time for the 'crash' ~opportunity to go back to school, to teach again and to have the honour of working with a very special client group ~peace and contentment...which I thought were elusive! ~ the kids, who make me laugh, challenge me and give me the drive to be a better person...even with the health struggle ahead of us! ~for humility, the 'givers' of this world that taught me to 'pay it forward' without expecting a darn thing in return!
for all of it, POF included cause some of the best people in my life came through this tainted pond

I am thankful for my health (even though I am currently resisting the invasion of a cold) For living in the most beautiful city in Canada and discovering the word “breath-taking” The amazing view of the mountains that greet me every morning For Little Miss Blue, who brings a lot of pleasure to my life even though she sheds (a lot!) My cosy little abode For the amazing friends I have met on POF that similarly and enthusiastically embrace life For a job that I truly enjoy and a dynamic, wonderful boss that is an inspiration to work with For the opportunity to make acquaintances with special POF people who enjoy the Grind, hiking, snowshoeing, dancing and food. A few have even gotten me back running. For travelling to Calgary with 2 awesome POFers to join another working part-time in Calgary, to enjoy the stampede For meeting the Girlz in da Hood (love ya all) and the opportunity to enjoy a camping trip with them For the opportunity to volunteer for the Arts and enjoy the many talented performers that have made Vancouver their home For the friends who like to dine (alpha ethnic dinner group and the Divine Divas – I always wanted to say I was a double D) For the opportunity to share my gratefulness over Thanksgiving dinner For daily reminders of how truly fortunate and blessed I am!
