| Who did you spend Thanksgiving with? Posted: 10/12/2008 6:12:37 PM | This year was a special Thanks giving for me! My youngest son came from Alberta for a few days. For the first time in 8 years, my two sons and I sat down to dinner at my dining room table as a family. What made it all that much more special was my best friend was with us. I am the luckiest person in the world because I got to spend Thanks giving with the 3 men I love most in this world! | |

| Who did you spend Thanksgiving with? Posted: 10/12/2008 6:27:18 PM | I spent Thanksgiving with my son and my daughter, and their significant others, and my grandchildren. I also invited a lovely man I met on POF to spend Thanksgiving with us. We had a wonderful day, and I even had a nice ride up in the Gatineaus to see the beautiful colors with my friend on his motorcycle, which in and of itself is pretty amazing, since I am terrified of motorcycles. And the most fantastic weather.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone........

| Who did you spend Thanksgiving with? Posted: 10/12/2008 7:43:52 PM | | I spent Thanksgiving with my family at my parents house, because every year we do Thanksgiving and my dad's birthday. We used to be 24 of us , but know we are only 8 which means less cooking for mom . Yeah right. | |

| Who did you spend Thanksgiving with? Posted: 10/12/2008 7:45:34 PM | | Tomorrow I am making a huge turkey dinner with all of the fixings with my fabulous daughter and the 3 kids of the man I dated last year, plus the boyfriend of one of them. We don't talk at all to the dad anymore, but we adore his kids and we enjoy doing family type things together :) It's sad to me how many families no longer have the family/friend get togethers anymore and don't realize how the lack of them impacts kids, but my house is always open for the leftovers :) Even at X-mas I have Leftover Parties, so those with no where to go always come over to my place for fun and festivities. Stay an hour, stay for 10! The only rule is I get the first drink, after that you know where the fridge is LOL I am thankful for the people who are in my life, however they cam be a part of it... | |

| Who did you spend Thanksgiving with? Posted: 10/12/2008 9:43:03 PM | Well I have two friends from Cuba visiting Canada so I took them up to Toronto's Black Creek Pioneer Village. A chance to see some of our history and get that old pioneer spirit of Thanksgiving. Had a great time but alas.... no turkey.
Because the weather is so darn lovely, we're skipping the turkey and going to get one more summer BBQ in. Simply can't pass up the chance for a cold beer, backyard patio and another steak on the BBQ.

| Who did you spend Thanksgiving with? Posted: 10/12/2008 11:04:05 PM | I spent most of it with my sisters, their husbands, their kids (my daughter is with her dad this weekend) and a few family friends. We had a blast, and I just got home.
I may or may not have had a date before the whole hoopla began....

| Who did you spend Thanksgiving with? Posted: 10/13/2008 5:27:46 AM | I'll be spending today (Thanksgiving day) with my longest and dearest friend, her son, daughter and son-in-law. My son is in University in Michigan, so I'll get to spend another Thanksgiving holiday when he comes home the end of November. THEY get 2 weeks off! SHEESH! lol
I have lots to be thankful for - a wonderful son, caring friends, great health, a good job, a sound mind (well some might debate that ). All in all, life's pretty darn good I'd say!

| Who did you spend Thanksgiving with? Posted: 10/13/2008 7:19:58 AM | I had my daughters over and one of their boyfriends and a very good girlfriend. The cooking took forever it seems (roast not turkey), overcooked potatoes, burnt buns lol. The food was a little challenging (p.s. I am a great cook lol) (not). We did some karaoke and cake and had a blast!!! | |

| Who did you spend Thanksgiving with? Posted: 10/13/2008 7:42:22 AM | every year my ex *gets* the kids for thanksgiving and i *get* them for christmas, which works out really well for me because i never grew up celebrating thanksgiving (being english) and absolutely Love christmas (he has them for boxing day at his big family thing, so he's happy too)
my friends have invited me to their celebrations, but i love to have some time of my own, so each thanksgiving i get three blissfully peaceful days allll to myself... ahhhhh...*happy sigh*

| Who did you spend Thanksgiving with? Posted: 10/13/2008 9:00:30 AM | Had a nice day with my Mother yesterday. Today I am cooking a chicken just for me. But even alone, I am most thankful for an incredible Mother, and the fact I am alive and able to experience this gorgeous almost summer-like weather. It is the small things we should be thankful for the most. | |

| Who did you spend Thanksgiving with? Posted: 10/13/2008 6:15:55 PM | spent it with me, myself and I. Even the cat was off wandering. I was supposed to spend it with my Mom but my sister-in-law decided to invite her over since my mom is alone for the first time this year. Apparently the fact that I was alone never phased her LOL
However, I had a productive day. I managed to get the second coat of paint on most of my window frames and picked up a new pool for the kids for next year off of kijiji. I wasn't totally forgotten though. My ex and his common-law cooked a big turkey dinner and he dropped off a care package when he dropped off the kids - pumpkin pie included! mmmm yummy .
I'm very thankful for the fact that we still get along and remain friends. I'm also thankful that I have two wonderful children, our health and a roof over our heads ... anything over and above that is pure gravy ... pour it on the mashed potatoes please
Happy Thanksgiving everyone
P.S. Canadian Tire put out all of their Christmas stuff last week

| Who did you spend Thanksgiving with? Posted: 10/14/2008 1:36:23 PM | Lemme See, my sister, husband and 3 nephews were out of town. My Dad and Mom are off travelling the world until November, and I moved into a new place last month. So I thought this weekend was going to be crap!!! Saturday was also my birthday.
So ... Saturday my ex came over and wished me a happy birthday and had dinner with me, which was really nice and completely unexpected. Sunday I was in Scarberia having a thanksgiving dinner with my friend, his wife, her family and a few close friends. Was really nice of them to invite me.
Yesterday? Stuck at my parents home because the Transmission in my car gave out. I will be stuck here until Thursday at the earliest. Thank goodness I took the week off work for vacation. Ugh!!! The lord He Giveth ....

I spent it with my birth mother, adoptive mother, grandfather and daughter.
My family hadnt met my daughter yet and my mothers had never met so it was really quite amazing... even if we were eating burgers at a Kelseys...lol

| Who did you spend Thanksgiving with? Posted: 10/17/2008 7:50:16 PM | Went to my cottage to meet up with my parents and my brother. It's our annual closing weekend so we get to enjoy the holiday there. Fall colours were wonderful. Normally I get sad at the end of the summer and hate to see the leaves change. This year I was looking forward to it and got some great pictures. It was a lovely weekend with wonderful weather, and some pretty decent company. | |
