heartfelt prose thoughtful poem or a silly rhyme
thru the words i explain My spirit My heart My mind
Always discovering Simply discovering What i am going find (orginally posted on: i can be) ~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~ at last i am building my own home out of stick and stones no less a place to rework some of my words i've strewn all over the place a place to come home to...
if you don’t know me...welcome!!! feel free to write whatever is on your mind or in your heart... words need not me kind, because at times they can’t be the only thing i ask is no meanness be aimed at another in the pond... if you have problems with someone just don’t go there... or if you must, keep it private through pond mail... you will find i am social, but introverted... we all carry our paradoxes...and i have many you will find i am far from perfect... and ain’t trying to be... but i am happy to be me
and if you do know me... welcome, Welcome, WELCOME!!!! you are the reason i am here. you are helping me discover my voice.. you are helping me discover me... and for that.....thank you
i figure i’ll bring over a little mable along with some granny a few haikus and a couple of other gems i accidentally stumbled upon (does one ever stumble not by accident?!)
and don’t think i won’t be coming around no more you know i will.... for YOU are my inspiration!! ~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~ (orginally posted on: stepping stones in the ocean)
the stones so slick under barefeet i jump from one to the other cautiously not wanting to get wet yet i slip and fall feeling the coolness refresh my body ahhhhhhhhh it feels so wonderful to be alive ~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~ Spectrums of Existence (orginally posted on: ethics and expressed desires)
am craving
i eat still hungry i drink still thirsty i love still lonely
lost all tranquility desire comes from within consumed by the nothingness of wanting ~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~ (orginally posted on: short poems)
morning moon glow
her luminosity bathed our morning walk silhouetted trees stand ahead we're followed by long shadows silence is broken by the crow of the c0ck joined in symphony by morning birds golden veiled kissing coastal mountains she silently slips away as he begins the day ~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~ (can’t remember where i posted this!!)
you would not (let me love you) completely
you seek (what i am no longer able ) to provide
i wanted you to not want 'it' anymore (oh, selfish me)
but (in my heart) i knew
sometimes (while walking i still silently weep for what ) will never be ~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~ (orginally posted on: do you dig the blues?)
the sax man... (gary bartz quartet)
red hat, plaid jacket, light lavendar pants he greets us with song... 'bad thoughts, leave this room evil, leave this room...' he blows the sweetest sax think i smell burnt sage from backstage
we are now ready to receive magic from the blues man
he moves me grooves me tickles my soul with sensual sounds ever so sweetly he sails and then intensely he wails chills run thru my body
he puts rhythm to langston hughes' 'i've known rivers' overwhelmed i cry
he joins cables 'for heaven's sake' experience ethereal in their cathedral in the vein of coltrane
so pure so spiritual touching me deeply i weep in the presence of genuis

| ~lost in thought or flight of fancy~ Posted: 10/17/2008 2:13:32 AM | Our Rose has planted a garden the wind sweeping in seeds of friendship to be planted beside her
to be fed with her watered by her growing with her
welcoming all to her garden collecting plants of differing textures, colors, smells
May your garden grow to it's fullest potential bringing you joy when you smell the air.
Love ya Rosie, nice place you have here.

| ~lost in thought or flight of fancy~ Posted: 10/17/2008 6:09:43 AM | Congrats on ur new thread dearest Rose. So glad to see you finally gave in and planted your own garden here.
The following is the what I finally extracted from that from our convo the other night.
The Doors of Perception Are Made To Be Revolving And Kaleidescopic
I waltz through a revolving door like at a big bank or skyscraper only more grand. The glass is transparent only not clear, the panes have a refracting effect that is mercurial and gradually but steadlily changing like when you twist a kaleidoscope viewer stained glass that has come alive and ate your pet monkey. It's warping and liquidy. I go thru those doors and fall stumbling into this vast cave, but then it's not a cave, its a hotel loby full of angels, harlots, and raving old men. Only it's not, it's a waterfall of delicious poison and gnomes drown me in it. Only I grow gills and fly thru the holes in Christ's palms only I don't. I laugh at the devil blowing opalescent bubbles, only he isn't. It's Ghandhi baking a shepards' pie, and then I melt and flow backwards underneath the revolving doors into the guttter where dark rats piss into my existence and flood out beneath the feet of Lady Justice. I hang onto a hangnail which pierces my side and I awake spitting out sand from my nap in the desert.

| What Posted: 10/17/2008 6:34:33 AM | What
What no meanness What no bickering No snide remarks No behind backs snickering
What just poetry What just Prose Is that what she wants This person called Rose
What no bad tempers What no tantrums That's not our ways In the County of Antrim
What no anger What no comisseration I think I'll have to apply For Papal dispensation
What am I to make What of these strange rules Are they for gentile ladies Or eegits or fools
What's going on What's the censor done Restricted my freedom I can't have any fun
What am I gonna do What are people gonna think Have I to start being considerate Jez that will drive me to drink
What gotten into you You went and got your own thread Now you'll have to stop flirting And sleep in your own bed
What's the world coming to What on earth was Rose thinking I bet she started this thread Blind drunk when she was drinking!!
About time to! | |

there are inner paradoxes inside: violins without strings releasing words that hit the ground running
the stones and boulders outline the boundaries of time and silhouette the music in the words

| The Wild Mountain Rose Posted: 10/18/2008 10:21:42 AM | The Wild Mountain Rose
The wild mountain rose A rare and precious sight Hidden just below peaks Camouflaged pure white Hardy yet delicate Sits upon cliffs of stone Looking over landscapes Content to be alone Unknown to the multiude Hidden from the world The wild mountain rose A true gem indeed a pearl Best in the natural Surviving in the wild Nature as intended Lives each summer for a while Returns in radiant splendour After frosts and chills have gone Standing all alone But never ever forlorn The white rose of the mountains That wild thorny brier Many a weary climber His heart was sat on fire Not one could reclaim her Bring her down from up on high For the wild rose of the mountains Lived best face into the sky
|
| my dribble Posted: 10/18/2008 10:38:45 AM | ok...my post above didn't read right. I meant "my" dribble, not someone elses writing. My coffee wasn't strong enough this morning!
so many tales of roses, and songs are written too, adoring the colorful flower in red, white, yellow, and blue.
The symbolic gesture of feelings no matter what they are only one Rose stands out that's you Rose...our shining star!
|
| my dribble Posted: 10/18/2008 2:34:36 PM | There once was a tart named Rose She gets around as everyone knows drops a petal here and there like so much sexy underwear leaving us aglow in her rainbows
Now your writes have got a proper depository where we all can convene to hear your story but you could not call it home without a limerick poem cause I know that it's a favorite category
your words reflect your sweetness, no refute sometimes a bit more saucy but always cute so far here it's tame and I won't muddy your name but hope you'll still visit threads of ill repute
A tranquil place here, not a house of sin but the door was open so look what the cat dragged in I'll try to be nice but I know you like spice so don't be surprised if I flash a little skin
Love ya, Rosie, baby. Hope you had a great weekend!
|
| my dribble Posted: 10/18/2008 2:44:21 PM | hey Axe!....right on with that one^^^^ I can just see those blushing cheeks now. Nice touch. | |
|
| my dribble Posted: 10/18/2008 4:13:18 PM | You are a riot Ice!
sending my love rose | |
|
| my dribble Posted: 10/18/2008 5:58:17 PM | I wanted to say that I'm happy to see that you started this thread The words that you write show great insight And the things that you say needed said Your kindness and grace are amazing This is something that everyone knows No one else here compares To a blossom so rare As a Rose is a Rose is a Rose | |
|
| Agony Posted: 10/18/2008 6:13:02 PM | The purple clusters of Dusty concord grapes Hung from the vines that Were straining under the weight. I could feel the relief With each cluster I picked, I felt the dirt settle Under my bare feet. | |
|
| Agony Posted: 10/19/2008 4:11:49 PM | thank you bird for your write i thought about you today on my hike as i sweated up the mountain (but i'll call it a hill !) getting such a thrill and thinkin' what a wonderous sight
