| C'Mere, I'll do ya'. Posted: 10/20/2008 7:04:23 PM | I've been a little bored after work lately, so if you'd like an unvarnished, possibly brutal take on your profile, get in line. I don't know if I'll be able to do you all (my last thread became a little too much to handle) but I'll certainly do the interesting ones | |

| Takeachancewithme Posted: 10/20/2008 7:29:27 PM | I love the screen name. You're really cute and that shows in your pictures, and in your text. A little more of the same. I'd shoot for at least two medium length paragraphs, letting the reader know a little more about your personality and what makes you tick, though you've gotten a good start.
The pictures you have up are good, but you really need to include at least one full body shot. Guys who have been on dating sites for a while automatically assume that any women with head shots only is a hippo. You state "a few extra pounds" ... they'll want to know what you look like from head to toe. If you aren't happy with your body image, it's better to meet men who are already attracted to the entire package, anyway.

| TallScot Posted: 10/20/2008 7:33:54 PM | Two major red flags in your profile... drinking and living with parents. While neither of those things are intrinsically bad, this is an interview for those who might wish to meet you and you only want to include that information which puts you in a postive light. There's plenty of time to chat with someone you've made contact with about your living situation and plans.
Pictures? Most are good, but something about the watch photo and the one in the restaurant booth give me the impression of a frat boy. If you want to be taken seriously by someone other than a party girl, I'd advise losing those two and replacing them.
I really like the picture of you biking... shows an interest that you could share with a potential date :)
As with the previous user, show us some more of your personality

| sweetstuff Posted: 10/20/2008 7:54:20 PM | I like it. You come across as vital, confidant, and energetic, and seem to know what you want. The only thing I'd change is a few photos. The one of your back is a little odd, and the single eye is a little off putting. overall, great job
and you're welcome, tallscot :)

| C'Mere, I'll do ya'. Posted: 10/20/2008 8:20:26 PM | Okay, let me have it! Maybe you can tell me why I get no response from the ladies whose profile says something like "are there any nice guys out there?" , "just looking for an honest man" etc. I'm not perfect but I am a nice guy, and I'm honest.
So have at it, and give me your worst! :)

| C'Mere, I'll do ya'. Posted: 10/20/2008 8:30:06 PM | your pictures are either old or blurry. Get new ones that are clear and flattering, but that accurately represent the way you look now.
Add keywords. The ones that you have up don't really include any activities or hobbies that a women could invision herself sharing with you.
<div class='quote'>I changed my profile a bit. Although I am more muscular and stronger than average, I decided that what most think of as "athletic" didn't really fit me either. My hair is also cut very short now. Obviously I'm not very good with the new camera yet either. I went ahead and posted one new pic - but I'll try to do better. don't apologize for bad pics, just get new ones. get a friend to help take some shots if necessary. can all the discussion about your looks/physique... a good picture should already demonstrate what you look like.
<div class='quote'>I am a school teacher. I am also a martial arts/self defense instructor. I am into weight lifting and music. I play guitar and am looking for a band that needs a guitarist. I prefer rock and blues, but occasionally like some jazz and even a little country.
<div class='quote'> I am a compassionate, affectionate man. I am a romantic, I believe in the magic and wonder of life! I also believe being nice is almost always easier than being crabby.
I am a nature lover. I like camping, swimming, hiking trails, or just taking long walks in the woods. I am also an animal lover. I enjoy movies, old and new, almost all genres.
I'd like to find someone I can share thoughts with, spend time with, workout with, watch movies with, and share mutual affection. I would like someone open minded enough to look at issues from more than one point of view, and accept that we don't always have to agree.
this portion is good
<div class='quote'>Someone who will stand in the warm summer rain with me and share deep wet kisses while the rain washes over us. kill the part about wet kisses. Women HATE the implication of sex or sexuality from a stranger. Save that for when you've gotten to know her a bit.
Divorce papers have been signed - the waiting period is not yet over.
this is your biggest problem... I applaud your honesty, but most women don't want to risk getting involved in a rebound situation, or some other potentially nasty scenario.

| sstrick500 Posted: 10/21/2008 4:42:57 PM | I think the most damaging thing on your profile is the reference to nascar. Maybe it's just me, but nascar fans have cultivated something of an image as a group, and it's not a positive one, in my opinion. Introduce the ladies to this one gradually and remove references from your profile.
Also, you look rather youngish for your age... The women who might be attracted to your look may thing you're too old for them chronologically and vice versa... just a thought.

| green carpenter Posted: 10/21/2008 4:46:58 PM | gentle? what's the fun in that?
Your first priority should be in getting up more photos. The second photo would be fine in a group of photos to demonstrate what you like to do, neither your face or body is really clear.
Text? I like what you have to say about yourself, but you need to format it differently. Either go ahead and make it a bulleted list (like I chose to do ) or put it in a traditional format. The choppy format it's in now just feels a little rigid and unappealing.
