Dress Code: Jeans are welcome at The Roads but the hosts are planning to go semi-formal because it's a special occasion.
Please come out and help us celebrate the season.
Please be advised, the Roads charges a cover charge of $ 4.00 after 9:00 p.m.

The Drink Specials:
$ 4.00 Tequila shooters
$ 4.00 Canadian in the Bottle
We willl be in the raised area south of the dance floor and in between the dance floor and the bar. There is a big screen t.v. in the area and a pool table.
If you are a Designated Driver, your non-alcoholic beverage is on the house.

What great little elves you all are! To answer the questions from those interested in donating a prize:
If you wish to donate, it can be anything. Perhaps something you would like to receive as a prize, then you know it's something others might want. Anything goes really but if you can't think of anything, bottle of booze/wine always works!
All we ask is that if you wrap the prize, you tag it either "guy" "girl" or "no gender". Unless it's a bottle, then it's obvious. If you don't wrap it, please put in a bag to keep it a secret! We will not reveal what anyone donates, it's anonymous.
You can just bring the prize with you and we'll have a donation box there to put it into.
We also would like to thank the Roads for donating prizes. How nice of them. I guess they like our patronage!

Posted: 10/25/2008 6:15:53 PM | mopar - the bar is in the Raddison so you can get a room right upstairs if you want. There are also other motels around the Raddison that may be more economical.
We'll see what info we can find out and post it here for the out of towners. | |

Always welcome to come in later, as many come late and leave early so some will only have been there a short time by 10. Don't let work the next day hold you back from a chance to possibly meet new friends, drinking is an option, not compulsory, but having a good time and some laughs is !! | |

The host (that is me) will be wearing a suit and tie, the hostess I hear may be wearing something colourful for the season such as red!!
To be more precise, with semi-formal: gentlemen are usually required to wear suit and tie or dress slacks and jacket without a tie while ladies wear what are referred to as co*ktail dresses, dress slacks and jacket or blouse so your option is being able to plan for that night. Dress up and be noticed or dress down to hide in the crowd.
By defininition, semi formal is a black tie or gown for in the evening and more casual apparel in the day, not jeans. This event is being held in a country bar so dress how you would feel comfortable for this event with the spirit of the season in mind. | |
