Can you please really lock it (do not allow the option to add a post). I got note after I wrote a long post.

Whats the point in locking forums after 20 posts.

I had something that was a genuine contribution to a forum but could not post it, because of this stupid rule. What a waste of time!

I had something that was a genuine contribution to a forum...

In your opinion.

....but could not post it, because of this stupid rule. What a waste of time!

Is this how you discussed things with your instructor when you learned to paraglide?
"I have something I want to do, but I can't, therefore the rules are stupid. Paragliding is a waste of time!
Presumably it is, since you're in another thread in this forum complaining about your non-compliant photo being removed. Because in your opinion, it was fine, ie; good photo, but stupid rules.
Bit of a theme here?

Familiarise yourself with the rules, learn to stay within them. Maybe you'll survive.

Unfortunately I don't have the exact code that Admin has utilized to lock it down exactly at 20 replies as some threads go to 21 or 22 replies, but I suspect it's a timing issue and a failure to lock down the thread while some are actively replying at the same time. In any event, suffice it to say that if you see the thread at 20 replies, find another one using the FORUM Thread Search Tool. Dollars to doughnuts, there are tons of repetitive done to death, in depth, riveting threads of the same nature elsewhere.

Curb the stupid answers, chat posts, wasted responses and monopolization by the regulars who hang out there to practice their lame comedy routines - just a few examples. Apologies to the ones that actually make a contribution.

We're all quite confident that there may have been a nugget of enlightening revelation to some thought provoking question that has now been lost to humanity, however as pointed above, seek out another similar thread using the FORUM Thread Search Tool and offer your thoughts to it.

... and unless some Romulan faction has come along and cloaked portions of the Main POF Forum list, there are other forums where one can post to. Examples being:

Profile Reviews
Dating and Love Advice
Relationship Issues
Dating and Love Advice
Sex and Sexuality Issues
Dating Experiences
any of the other POF Forums

... that do not have thread limits, consequently, one can post without fear of having their replies, to "Why Women Don't Reply", "What Do Women Really Want", and "Why Doesn't He Call Me The Day After" cut short in the Ask A ___ forums.
