Hey ladies...:).. I was wondering how you would feel if a date gave you 1 single rose on your first date? Would it be something that you would appreciate or not?

Chivalry is NOT dead.

A single flower on the first date is a nice gesture.

No flowers here thanks. Allergies and you spent all that cash on something that'll be dead within 2 - 3 days. Admittedly not A LOT of cash, but still. Nice gesture and all, but it was wasted cash.

If you know her well enough to know of some tiny little trinket she'd like, do that instead. It has the added bonus of showing that you listen and remember stuff about her.

Although it might seem like a very nice gesture on first date, but SOME women think in their subconcsious " hey, this guy bought flowers... he must be thinking of something in return..
I won't give it to him whatever it is!... huh"

Some others see signes of stalking when the dude buys flowers...

Those are the wierdos who can't understand the happiness of giving! they are not used to that!

But there is always real women who understand....

Could always take the fake-flower-approach; they're ALWAYS in bloom!

Personally.......I'd rather a man wait to bring me flowers or sentimental items because then I would know that it came from the heart........When presented with such items initally.......well, my guard goes up and I feel he's just trying to buy some brownie points for "friends with benefit" kinds of situations. Which might jade me from the get go.

I'd rather wait to get to know someone first before I'd ever give them something.....Thoughtful gifts, really speak volumes for me...and it could be the most insignificant item on earth..... but because someone noticed who I am and what makes me tick....well....then,,.......that will impress me more than flowers off the bat without sincere intentions, or worthy ones for that matter...........

Either a single or bunch of flowers make my heart leap in joy as I strongly believe that God's favor is in the nature! Yes, I would appreciate it very much, but it does not mean the guy could immediately capture my heart that fast ...

I have never, and will never buy flowers for the first date...why spend money when you don't even know the person yet?
Definately a red flag that screams "buying your approval" to the ladies

I'd rather give my woman a personalized gift anyways...flowers are so generic...unless she's really into gardening of course.....

Has happened to me, and was very flattered by it, the last thing I expected was that. I have a card, a letter, or a poem, all are very flattering, but the best thing on a first date is when you look in thier eyes and see something, and then the goosebumps,,lol!!! Go figure goosebumps ,,lmao,,is a great effect,,lmao.

Not quite a lady but it certainly hasn't hurt when I did the same. It's an act that doesn't seem to happen much anymore so when it does it'll be that much more influential. Now, keep in mind that those flowers will need to be carried around for the rest of that date if they can't be put away somewhere.

Depends on the date, I dont want to be stuck carrying around some flowers all night long.
Yet I am not a big flower friend either. I would not frown on them. Make them simple and no red roses, we aint in love yet.

I had a first date bring me a single white rose once...I loved it...made me feel special like he was not just out for one thing.... Another brought me a dozen...found it a little much for a first date but still appreciated it. Mind you I was really attracted to the first guy and not so much the second one so that may have been a factor too...

WOW, LAKEMAN 14.....

THAT'S what a girl likes, a guy that is creative.....dont' get me wrong, I like flowers just as much as the next girl out there......love them infact...but putting some thought into a second or 3rd meeting with thoughtfulness.....well, that really gets into my head and makes me know a GUY IS INTO ME.....picnics' are so romantic...especially down by the water.......on a blanket under the sunshine...on an amazing summer day..........WORKS FOR ME..!!!
