| Any "TRUE BLOOD" Fans??? Posted: 11/11/2008 9:00:46 PM | Hello all... I've been watching this television series on HBO called, "TRUE BLOOD".
I was wondering if anyone else has and, if so, what are your thoughts about it?
Are you enjoying it? Do you think it will become a regular series and continue?
I've become so involved with it that I JUST can't wait until Sunday nights at 9pm.
Thank goodness for HBO on demand so you can watch any episode you want to if you missed it.
The love scenes between Bill and Sookie are so hot...Anyone else think so??
Looking forward to hear from you TRUE BLOOD fans....

| Any TRUE BLOOD Fans??? Posted: 11/11/2008 10:35:37 PM | The series is well done but the books the series is based on are very entertaining. The series follows the plotlines , so far, of the books
whats with people wanting to delete this , is this the wrong place?

| Any TRUE BLOOD Fans??? Posted: 11/12/2008 11:39:56 AM | Great show! I just have one complaint. How is it that Sookie didn't know the one guy was a shape shifter?
She reads minds whether she wants to or not. So, how could she not have picked up on that? Especially after with him being worried about being caught.

IMO, she had a lot on her mind, and was probably overlooking Sam. She also makes an effort not to read the thoughts of those close to her.

| Any TRUE BLOOD Fans??? Posted: 11/12/2008 4:18:29 PM | Love this show, never miss it
I seem to remember a scene where Sookie and Sam were talking about her reading minds and she said his thoughts where different and she had a hard time reading them, or something to that effect?

| Any TRUE BLOOD Fans??? Posted: 11/12/2008 4:26:47 PM | | I'm constantly switching between liking and disliking it. It's strangely compelling but some of the dialog makes me cringe. Really wish Anna Paquin would go see an orthodontist though. | |

| Any TRUE BLOOD Fans??? Posted: 11/12/2008 8:40:41 PM | Love the show and can't wait to find out more about the shapeshifting, vamps and if there is a werewolf lurking about.... | |
|
| Any TRUE BLOOD Fans??? Posted: 11/13/2008 1:34:06 PM | I love the song in the intro. "When you came in the air went out...." But the body fluids kind of get to me. YUCK! My favorite character is Lafayette. He is quite the sleezy entrepreneur. I'd like to see more scenes with him in them. | |

| Any TRUE BLOOD Fans??? Posted: 11/13/2008 3:43:36 PM | | I started to watch the very first show and wasn't so impressed. Then thought I'd give it another try and watched the second show and found I liked it much better. Unfortunately I wound up missing the next two airings, so gave up trying to follow along (I hate watching bits and pieces and trying to fill in gaps). Now that it's been running for a while I'd like to get into it again, right from the start, as it does actually look quite good. Hopefully HBO will run it from the beginning again before the next season begins. | |

| Any TRUE BLOOD Fans??? Posted: 11/13/2008 4:04:00 PM | I do find the show to be somewhat entertaining. But as in most cases books are often the better of the two.

To answer your question about Sookie reading minds and, why she didn't pick up on Sam being a shape shifter is best explained this way:
Sookie is trying desperately NOT to read minds because it makes her crazy. She can't handle everyone's thoughts going around in her head all the time when she is at Sam's bar, Merlotte's.
Once, Sam asked her to read HIS thoughts and, she said that she didn't want to. She said that she didn't want to read her friend's thoughts. She didn't even want to read her brother, Jason's thoughts, but did so a couple of times because he was being so evasive with her. She ALSO tried reading Tara's thoughts, but she was avoiding Sookie being able to by saying "La La La La La La La" in her head so that Sookie COULDN'T read her thoughts.
As far as the past episodes to catch up...if you have HBO on demand, you can watch each and EVERY episode on your TV in full; otherwise, you can go to HBO.com/TrueBlood and be able to get the jist of each episode by watching the clips on each one. There is a fan club as well as other interesting tidbits from the series.
I LOVE IT..and just hope that Bill isn't taken away from Sookie. I can't wait until Sunday night...Only TWO episodes left...wonder if they will carry this on for another year??? Hope so...
Cheers to you all for being fans with me...

| Any TRUE BLOOD Fans??? Posted: 11/14/2008 7:55:03 PM | | There isn't much offered out here as far as cable is concerned...no HBO, no movie channels (in English) or anything like that. No specialty channels. Sooo....I miss a lot. Tried checking things out on the puter...not near the quality or anything...sometimes freezes up...but, I did get to see a couple shows! | |

| Any TRUE BLOOD Fans??? Posted: 11/15/2008 9:50:09 PM | It's entertaining enough. I didn't like it at first, but am enjoying it more now. I watch so little TV and it's one of 4-5 shows I watch. I thought it was a real shame they killed off the grandmother character.
A friend of mine who watches the show has a theory that Tara is the murderer.
|
| Any TRUE BLOOD Fans??? Posted: 11/16/2008 11:21:09 AM | | My brother watches this show and I happend to be over at his pad while this was on. Its not for me. To me its sorta like the Andy Griffith show on acid with vampires. | |
|
| Any TRUE BLOOD Fans??? Posted: 11/16/2008 12:32:33 PM | Thanks to all of you that are responding. Remember, TONIGHT AT 9PM...show is on ..one of the two remaining ones left.. OMG..CAN'T WAIT..
Anyway... Tarwater: I suspected that theory too about Tara, but I think it is that girl, Amy that came into Jason's life mysteriously and, afterall, she is STRONGER since she had been on "V" blood...right? hmmmmm...she DID KNOW how to kill that vampire that they had stored in the basement ..she HAD a wooden stake stashed in the corner JUST for that reason. DOUBLE HMMMMMM.....
Should be a very interesting show tonight when Bill returns to Sookie after the trial and having to be forced to be a "maker" to that girl, Jessica....wondering if Bill is going to have to be in a nest with that girl now and, will Sookie want to join?
Interested to hear all views pro/con on this subject.
Okay all..chat later about this.

She said in one episode that she tried not to actively read her friends' minds, but sometimes she couldn't help it. She said Sam's mind wasn't like those of other people, because she only picked up waves of emotion from him... or something along those lines.
Good show. | |
