| Rate away, I hope I got it right this time... Posted: 11/12/2008 2:10:24 AM | I am probably doing something horribly wrong or I just don't look good, anyways ladies, please rate my profile and yeah tell me how I look.
I tried looking at other guys profiles to see what is probably best (I judge based on how many times that person is listed under favourites) but there's really nothing I can use from what I have seen.
Also I am thinking I should put more pics, what kind of pictures to women like? - Zany Halloween pics - Playing sports - At a party - Full body shots
Responses from girls around my age group would be preferred.
- Thanks! | |

College should be a great place to meet women. Aren't there any women in your classes that you can talk with? Perhaps study together?

Nope, well at least not for me. I am taking Computer Science
I can understand how that might be a problem. You need to take some elective classes where there are women. Also, get involved with some of the social activities at school. Social dance classes are some of the best for meeting women.
The problem with the online dating is that there are very few women your age looking for men online.

| Rate away, I hope I got it right this time... Posted: 11/12/2008 7:12:47 PM | Just to make sure, start off with this: http://forums.plentyoffish.com/datingPosts1262627.aspx It says a lot of things that I don't feel like retyping.
You start off with, "I'm in college right now and there's just no time to go out and meet girls." Wow, so basically we're never gonna have time to meet up? In addition, if you were confident, you wouldn't give me excuses. You just gave me an excuse.
"When I am not in school" ...but you just implied that you're always studying! I'd rather say something like, "To relax..."
"since Harry Potter just doesn't quite cut it for me." Now you just made fun of everyone who reads Harry Potter. I don't know about your country, but here in the U.S., that's A LOT of women you're making fun of. Do you really gain that much with that comment? Isn't there a better way you could say it that would show off your unique traits?
Paragraphs three and four definitely show your sense of humor. Keep them around until you find something better. Also, you do a good job of saying just enough to be interesting, i.e., not saying too much.
"I would really like to lavish her with expensive gifts and take her out to fancy dinners." um...yeah...I hope this is sarcasm, so I'm going to say that sarcasm does not work in this instance. (If it's not sarcasm...are you going to bribe her into liking you?)
In your first date section, you write, "I usually like to save the really cool stuff for later." Definitely keep up the good work there. Very intriguing.
If you change your profile or anything, post back to this thread. Thanks!
Finally, join the salsa dancing club or the swing dancing club or volunteer organization. Get involved in your community! Go meet people! Virginia Tech has over 900 student organizations. (Yes, I get the irony of typing this on an internet forum.)

Thanks. Although, my courseload is completely full and I was kinda hoping to meet someone here that is just as busy as I am since I am only free on the weekends.
Btw, if there's anyway that I could improve my profile or if you have suggestions for pictures I could add, please let me know.
Much appreciated! Thanks again for your reply.

Hey,
Thanks for your suggestions. Although you make some sound points, I feel that even with your suggested changes it is still pretty much saying the same thing. I will consider changing the wording a bit on some parts but just as long as there isn't anything horribly wrong with it I think it should be ok.
As for the Harry Potter comment, I'm sorry but I am not really into Harry Potter. Not to say that I do not like people who do like Harry Potter, I just don't want to pretend to like it.
Thanks again for your suggestions once again. However I am mostly seeking advice from girls.

If you want to meet women I suggest that you back off on your courseload next semester. Please do consider taking some elective classes where there will be women. If there is a social dance class, club, or group at your school you should sign up for it.
I understand that you would like to find someone online, but in your age group that is unlikely. Women your age are not typically looking for men online.

Solid advice! Although I won't be able to drop any courses next semester because all the courses I am taking are required to graduate next year and any other courses would incur more on my student expenses, I will consider taking some afterschool dance courses to meet girls.
I know a lot of girls my age are not looking for guys online however at this point, this site is kinda my only option.
Btw, what kind of dance classes would be good? Ballroom, tango, I admit I would feel akward about dance but how about yoga? I would totally be down for that.
Thanks again for the advice, very much appreciated!
