Posted: 11/27/2008 2:52:44 PM | My ex would mercilessly get on my case, merely because I would fall asleep during sex, once in a while.
I did not think it was such a big deal, because I would eventually wake up. She disagreed.
So, I will throw this bit of bait, into the fish pool.
Is falling asleep during sex a mortal sin? Why is this such a big deal? Has this same thing happened to other fishies? Were the consequences similar? | |

Multiple times is not funny. It might be indicative of a medical problem you should have looked at. It might be a result of a drinking problem you should reconsider. It might be that you pop in two minutes then fall asleep on top of her before she's come because you're an inconsiderate pr1ck. It might be any number of things, and oddly, I can't think of any that are positive.
No idea what the problem really is, but yes, this is a big deal.

I fell asleep one time during oral sex... I was receiving. Was our wedding night, it was late, I was exhausted from the whole day and it felt so good and so relaxing that I dozed off for a few minutes. We laughed about it. | |

OP -- I've fallen asleep before during sexual acts, as have some of my exes. It happens.
I've had them fall asleep while I'm giving them rubdowns, or oral...I've fallen asleep after we both came and I was still inside her (we were cuddling and I was tired...sue me :P). Personally I don't see it as a big deal. Thankfully, they haven't seen it as a big deal either. Sometimes we just succumb to the long hours of the day and have nothing left during/after sex, or sometimes we succumb to the peace and chemical persuasions coursing our bodies. Sometimes it just can't be avoided.
I remember having to tell my exes that, if they'd prefer me to be more peppy in the afterglow...maybe initiate sex before 3AM next time. Can't fault me for being up all day and then having nothing left at night...lol.
It's not a mortal sin as I see it. Shame really that you got stuck with one who thinks it is...

No big deal if its once in a while and there is a reason, like being up for 36 hours straight first, and then giving it a go at 2 AM. But if it happens often or all the time - I think that warrants some careful consideration. | |

I used to date Stewardesses. I'd pick them up at the airport after 10 or 12 hours in the air serving drinks and having drunken passengers trying to feel up their skirts. I'd take them to their hotel, strip 'em, run 'em under a shower, dry them off, take them to bed, munch them until they were snoring (sometimes in seconds) and then come back in 10 hours. I NEVER considered it an insult. They were completely exhausted ... barely awake anyway at that point. I made sure they fell asleep in a very very nice way and then we had FUN 10 hours later when they woke up all refreshed and ready to ROK!!
Our lives are full of so many stresses these days. Sometimes having sex with a lover is SOOOO relaxing after a looong hard day of dealing with morons that the closeness and trust one feels with a lover makes good sex almost like a good back-rub. Anybody here claim they've never fallen asleep during a back rub ?I'm not talking falling asleep during some mutual wild monkey sex but a slow evening where one or both of you are completely fragged and she or he falls asleep in the middle is no big deal. If it's a good relationship they'll make it up to you later anyway. | |

Just to get one point across......not all[I'll bet da mn few]of us in our 50's fall asleep during sex.
And any reasonably attractive[all a matter of perception] woman of any age never "has" to date anyone in any age group.You do have more choices than a man would be given. | |
