| Dallas Cowoys 2009 Next Years Champions
Posted: 12/28/2008 3:23:59 PM | With the score 27-3 at the half, last game of the regular season and a playoff birth on the line, The Cowboys 2008 season has come to an end.
With 9 months til the 2009 Season starts the Cowboys will be playing in Arlington, Texas a 1.1 Billion 80,000 seat Stadium that expands to an extra 20,000 seats.
This is what I would like to see happen when the 2009 season begins:
1) Fire Wade Phillips and the whole coaching staff.
2) Get rid of Terrell Owens and Pacman Jones
3) Draft a Back up Quarterback and get rid of Brad Johnson.
4) Draft some defensive backs that can over somebody
5) 34-7 Eagles, Romo just fumbled get rid of him
6) Get in good with the Officialating crew
7) 41-7 Eagles, Barber fumbled trade him to.
8) New offensive line Romo sacked again
As a Die Hard Cowboys fan anyone else have any suggestions

be like a Bear and go Hibernate till 2123, By then I'll be to old to scream and yell about football the way I do... It's been one disappointment after another being a Cowboys fan. BUT I will stay loyal and continue to root for my team win or lose next season and every season after!

I'd be surprised if Wadester keeps his job but to me the first guy that should be shipped out of there is that useless hugely over-paid and underproductive, offensive co-ordinator. I'm not a Wade Phillips fan at all except for the fact that i thought his dad was a good coach, but In Phillips defence, he tries to treat men like men with the belief that if you treat men like men, they'll actually go out and perform like men.
Babcock of the RedWings treats his men like men. Dungy treats his men like men. Cowboys are one awfully disfunctional team that is just plain, missing 'men'. Romo is still just a boy in a man's body. Wade phucked up last year letting that clown go to mexico with his chick in the middle of a bye week last year. That's all you needed to tell me about Romo. No more info required. Priorities of an adolescent teen-idol.
Until or unless that kid ever grows up and also grows a spine, Cowboys aren't going anywhere.

Does that remind you of the ole sayin, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results?"

It does work well, if or when you're dealing with men. But 'men' don't stand around pointing fingers at one another on national tv and beyond in their interviews, after every tough loss. All the oars have to be pulling in the same direction. Bill Walsh managed his men in very much the same manner Wade Phillips does. The self-discipline and the dynasty of the 49'ers came from within the locker room as the players refused to let each other down. The Ronnie Lott's and the Joe Montana's and the Roger Craigs and the Jerry Rice's had the teamwork principle down. Cowboys are at the far far other end of that spectrum.
Problem is, Jerry Jones has thrown his wallet around and brought in a bunch of high-priced talented monkeys, and they perform like high-priced individual monkeys. Make no mistake. The monkeys are running the zoo there and all they're doing is making a big mess of the zoo. Not because of Phillipps. They can't help it half these guys. They're monkeys. They're not pro's. Phillips would be smart to follow Parcell's cue and exit stage left....Leave it to the the world's richest offensive co-ordinator to deal with. | |
