It is sort of like training for a 10 mile hike, once you reach the 10 mile threshhold...you will again hike 5 miles but not as often as that rush with the 10 mile hike...hm? | |

I'm quite vanilla, yet I'd say I'm more adventurous than many. I'm just not into things like BDSM, foot worship, water sports, etc. It's not a perjorative term. If you think it is and you try to take some pride by advertising that your aren't just into vanilla sex, you could end up being very surprsied by what someone assumes about you. There is nothing boring about vanilla sex unless you're into those things I mentioned. | |

OP -- it seems that so many have very different meanings behind "vanilla sex", but the truth is the one constant in all of them is the suggestion of "boring sex". Some say it's a lack of kink, some say it's just missionary/starfish sex, some say a lack of spontaneity, some say it's Harlequin/Hallmark sex, and some say just a lack of imagination/exploration. In any case, it all loosely translates into "boring sex" in their minds.
I have to laugh at these types because they seem to think sex has to be an Olympic event of some manner in order for it to be considered "worthwhile"...or something you'd see straight out of a porno somewhere where you need to perform 7 positions or better to be even "worthwhile".
But, to each their own I suppose.

im sorry but BDSM people are not the only people who use the term vanilla ... like i said it is used in the swinger community as well as by almost every kink in the world ...I have even heard it used by pedophiles to describe people who didnt have sexual feelings for kids ...so to them I am violently vanilla ...dont assume that the BDSM people have the kink market cornered they dont but they are in the club ...I have friends in all of these groups and have herd the term vanilla used in their mist ...far more than any term ...except for the term PLAY | |
