Posted: 12/30/2008 8:56:09 PM | Well dude according to Days of our Lives.... Sami lied about her pregnancy or faked one to keep a guy because the character Sami LOVED the guy so much.......and now Nicole is hiding her miscarriage from EJ. Drama at its finest if you ask me.
There's no rhyme or reason why women do it, I am baffled why women would do it. In fact, my sister in law has been faking pregancies since my brother married her (and unfortuantely he's still married to her). She does it to prevent him from leaving thus playing upon my brother's psychological need to be a very good provider as a husband.
Personally I think women who do this are whacked and really need a mentality check. I abhor women who use *fake pregnancies* to keep a man. I suppose these women have the mindset of "desperate times calls for desperate measures" and then do not think about the consequences afterwards until the alleged father to be finds out he's a father of a fictional unborn child and then leave the woman.
I think all father to be's should always --- ALWAYS go to the doctor with the *pregnant* woman to prove or disapprove there is a pregnancy before torturing himself asking "Is she really or is she really not?" before he makes any kind of long term commitments if she's faking it. | |

Posted: 12/30/2008 9:25:16 PM | I would never resort to such nonsense! I do however know a woman who dated my best friend, that used that more than once believe it or not. She was toxic with what I believe to be undiagnosed mental health issues. 3 times when he tried to leave she found out she was pregnant or so she said. He would stupidly go back to her no questions asked. He really wanted to be a father. All 3 pregnancies ended in miscarriage imagine that!! She never had any documentation from hospitals or any doctors to prove that she was ever pregnant let alone miscarried. It was obvious BS. Everyone knew it except him. He just couldn't believe that someone would lie and manipulate like that!! Sad but true and no these weren't teenagers this was a 30 something couple.
Faking pregnancy is by far is one of the meanest pranks you can pull on an ex. This revenge has been around forever. Women have used fake pregnancy to control and manipulate men as long as sex they've been bumpin and grindin. Ridiculous but true!!
Women have faked being pregnant to keep men in their lives! It takes a special kinda crazy obsessed woman to do something so mean (JMO). A fake pregnancy is a very powerful weapon in your revenge arsenal. | |

Unfortunately, this is not the smart way to start a family, or trap someone into marriage that they do not want, or are not ready for. There's a lot to be said about Family Planning, but there's plenty of babies born that were complete surpises too!
But any girl who would fake a pregnancy is really selfish, or not very savvy. The only way to make sure this doesn't happen to you is to keep your pecker in your pants, is all I'm sayin... and if you just can't do it, then take the responsibility for protection and put a sock on it, every single time.

OP, if Kelly won't provide documents to your satisfaction, just ignore her and wait for the lawyers to contact you AFTER the baby is born. I'm sorry if you got played, that's a bummer.
I know it will be painful if she shuts you out of the child's life. But know this --- the child will ask "Who is my REAL father?" all it's life. And that is an issue the mother-trickster can never resolve. At least YOU did no harm intentionally.
You can only work with info you are given or are allowed to receive. Yes, make the effort of asking for proof or confirmation by officials or mutual friends. OP, it is not your fault if other people play games. Take care. | |

I've also heard of a girl actually getting pregnant to keep a guy. (Not exactly sure how it was done, but unless she pin pricked the condom and he didn't know it, it was partly his fault for not wearing one, even if she was supposedly on the pill.) It was also done by a highschool student. It also didn't work, and she ended up having a kid at 15 and no boyfriend.
Immature people do immature things. These things can be as simple as going on the forums to bash people or as far as faking pregnancies or, even worse, becoming suicidal (which is moreso due to an unstable mindset, but also immaturity). *shrugs* | |

It is a very cruel thing to do to someone if she is lying to hold onto him. Woman that use this "ploy" are perhaps not concerned with being rational.
Watching the trash is no real promise that she is lying. Woman can sometime bleed during the first month. I did with my 4th daughter. I am assuming this is what you mean by the trash comment.
Your brother hasn't many options but to wait this one out. Be the best brother you can be. That's all you can do. | |
