if more men were like OP, pointing out how ridiculous they truly look, more and more young women would retain their dignity with classier attire which IMO is ten times sexier

Possibly Lack of Class demonstrated by Men compared to those of the Past? "Let's go back to my Place" or even ruder Forms of it after only a Couple of Minutes has become far too commonplace.
Maybe the old Saying "you get what you ask for" applies.

| classy women in clubs have they gone the way of disco? Posted: 1/3/2009 10:32:33 AM | ^That is a good point. Everywhere I go people dont seem to dress as well as they used too. Dress codes these days are more relaxed which in some ways make getting dressed for an occasion more stressful. At one time, I would worry about being not dressed up enough, but now I worry about being over dressed. | |

Posted: 1/3/2009 7:28:20 PM | | I used to go to bars with my ex, and the woman there would be drunk and all over the place with the whole 'look at how much fun I am' attitude. And you could tell some guys were into it but some of the guys looked annoyed at the way they acted. I might have a drink or 2 but I always dress classy and act like a lady in bars and clubs. I mean sure the girl that's half naked is fun but would you really want to date someone like that? And yes, bring back disco music! Anything is better then what's always playing in clubs these days!

70s were fun but Disco really did suck in many ways...one word........POLYESTER.
???
Disco was not a fashion style but a type of music. Research showed that the beat of most disco music is sync with the human heartbeat.
In fact I recently heard that the Bee Gees hit "Staying Alive" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stayin%27_Alive ) is the perfect song to set the rhythm for performing Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Classy women dressed in classy attire always catch my eye, be it on dance floor of disco or anywhere else.

I have to agree with my fellow fishies that classy attire (for BOTH sexes) is the best. Nothing like not leaving ANYTHING to the imagination . I personally think that how you dress is a reflection of how you SEE and/ or FEEL about YOURSELF plain and simple!!
In the bar scene as well as on dating sites, including this one......(SURPRISE.... ) what you want and what you appear to have come looking for, can be two different things. Take provocative pic's for instance,.....you say you're looking for a long term relationship but the opposite sex is looking at your pic' initially saying and THINKING a totally different thing. Two words in closing.........."SEX APPEAL"......!!!!

| classy women in clubs have they gone the way of disco? Posted: 1/13/2009 10:09:21 AM | Women on the street seem to be dressing better now than they were, say, twenty years ago. I attribute that to all those stylish Asian immigrants raising the bar for fashion.
Although I haven't been in a trendy club for longer than I want to remember, I have noticed what the OP was talking about just from women wandering around downtown, and I agree. One quite attractive blonde was dressed in what looked like a bandage, and it didn't do anything to improve her look. I know what a naked woman looks like, and (just like the OP) I'd be much more interested if they wore something classy or at least demonstrating some sense of style. Probably the skanky look is just a small part of the pornification of society in general. :(

Yeh, really... Aren't we far enough past the days of the disco ducks that we can look at the music objectively, and forget all about the polyester that went with it? Disco *music* wasn't bad. There is at least one indisputably great disco tune by a big-name band which was undeniably cool.

| classy women in clubs have they gone the way of disco? Posted: 1/13/2009 11:24:55 AM | Hey... I liked the music.... but the times were changing...no more Hippy Dippy dress and clothing was a major factor in how you presented yourself in the clubs in the 70s. I'm just saying the look wasn't always as classy... some of it was tacky. Not to mention dangerous!... 4'' platforms... on men!
Doesn't really matter if back in the disco clubs of the 70s or the current day clubs... you dress like a Ho.. you get treated like one. Ya... it does matter what you wear... first impressions... how pple percieve you

| classy women in clubs have they gone the way of disco? Posted: 1/13/2009 12:50:28 PM | OP, I'm not from your age group, but what I notice is that the women in your age range generally dress much better than do the guys, skimpy or otherwise. I see so many guys wearing shorts that look to be 2 sizes too big, with an unmatched t-shirt and ball cap, and contrast that with girls who have obviously taken some time and care with their apparel. Maybe if guys in general up-classed their look, women would follow suit; on the other hand ...
Way back when I went to bars and clubs on a regular basis, I discovered that dressing "classy" resulted in much less dancing . When I dressed in short skirts and cleavage - way more dancing happened. Didn't mean I was a slut or a whore, but as a group, you guys respond to sexier dress before classier dress and if I wanted to dance, I wore the clothes that helped me attain my goal. Appreciate that fact before you start calling people down, because I think it's pretty insulting of you to assume things about people based on how they dress.
If you want to find women who are more likely to dress in a way you feel most attractive, try hanging out in the office district and checking out local restaurants around lunch time.

Good question. I had heard of this before, on TV, within the past few weeks. In fact I posted the link above only to identify the song, and wasn't even aware the page has the following, because I hadn't scrolled so far down the page. Your post made go look at it again, where I find
Possible medical use According to Reuters, U.S. doctors have found "Stayin' Alive" provides an ideal beat to follow while performing chest compressions as part of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a heart attack victim. The American Heart Association calls for chest compressions to be given at a rate of 100 per minute in CPR; "Stayin' Alive" almost perfectly matches that, with 103.7 beats per minute.
This appears to be credible.
Long live disco... literally.

| classy women in clubs have they gone the way of disco? Posted: 1/13/2009 5:48:56 PM | I got to ask... Why is it the girls that are wearing the "Cum Dumpster" shirts, or the "Porn star", maybe even the "Got penis?" t-shirts are the ones that are all up tight and don't talk back to you when you walk up to them and whip it out? Yes "Madam" I do have penis and you may just be able to get yourself some, if you buy me a drink.
To you I say... Booooo. Thumbs down.
