| UK MMA Fighters Posted: 1/7/2009 12:53:19 AM | I was wondering what opinions were on them :
Michael Bisping - Won all but one of his UFC matches, went then distance with Rashad Evans (who is now UFC LHW Champ).
Dan Hardy - Successful in his UFC debut vs Gono.
Paul Daley - Did quite well in the (now defunct) EliteX, I've heard rumours he's going to be competing in Japan - not sure how true it is.
Rosi Sexton - Only one loss so far (vs Gina Carano), recently went the distance with Debi Purcell and won by split-decision. Not sure what future holds with collapse of EliteX.
| UK MMA Fighters Posted: 1/7/2009 6:21:53 AM | | Bisping has talent for certain. I am probably one of the few Americans that thought he legitimately won in his fight vs. Hamill, LOL. Sexton has had some impressive fights, too. Not sure about the others. | |
| UK MMA Fighters Posted: 1/7/2009 11:09:59 AM | How can you not love Bisping?! That guy rocks & is just getting better as he goes along - future title holder there! However, as much as I love that guy, I don't think he beat Hamill in the least little bit. | |
| UK MMA Fighters Posted: 1/7/2009 3:05:23 PM | HA! I knew that would provoke someone, LOL. But Hamill didn't do anything with the takedowns. And Bisping was whipping up on Hamill's face. Just saying.........

*prepares for deportation*

| UK MMA Fighters Posted: 1/7/2009 5:13:48 PM | | I don't know about future title holder, but a top 10 for sure, probably a gate keeper in his weight division. | |
| UK MMA Fighters Posted: 1/7/2009 9:18:25 PM | Really?? How do you not see him as a future title holder? The guy just keeps getting better & better with every fight! I'm so convinced of it I'd be willing to place a wager on it, but just to have a chick say "I told ya so", in a pretty much guys only sport, will be worth it in itself. lol | |
| UK MMA Fighters Posted: 1/8/2009 8:10:56 AM | He is getting better and better, but he can't hold a candle to Dan Henderson or Rich Franklin, neither of whom could beat Anderson Silva. I think he will be a gate keeper of the division and maybe fight for the title, but never hold it. Don't get me wrong I like him as a fighter and he dismantled Leben, but I just don't think he is good enough.
If he does though, I fully allow you to say "I told you so"
| UK MMA Fighters Posted: 1/8/2009 10:58:46 AM | | I've heard he's being lined up to face the winner of Henderson and Franklin since the point has been raised. As coach of the UK end of UK vs USA TUF the winner will coach the USA side. So basically when TUF ends it'll be Bisping vs Henderson or Franklin. | |
| UK MMA Fighters Posted: 1/9/2009 7:00:18 AM | I'm hoping it ends up being Franklin - I really think he & Bisping would put on a good battle.
And thanx for giving me the ok to tell you "I told you so"....lol ;o)
| UK MMA Fighters Posted: 1/9/2009 7:46:23 AM | Bisping has awesome potential. Good athelticism, good work ethic, very technical stand up, "adequette" ground skills, and perhaps most importantly a good attitude and realistic perspective of himself and where he stands.
At this point Anderson Silva would probably dismantle him. Bisping himself has pretty well said as much himself. Of course, if that is true then, at worst, that would still leave him in good company with the upper eschelon of his weight class.
Franklin vs. Bisping would be a great fight!
| UK MMA Fighters Posted: 1/10/2009 2:36:03 PM | | I agree Silva will probably dismantle Bisping at this stage, this doesn't make him unique however. This is more about Silva being such a good fighter than Bisping being a bad one. | |
| UK MMA Fighters Posted: 1/11/2009 12:32:45 PM | | Absolutely - Silva is amazing! Bisping is just no where at the point in his career of even being close to taking him on. | |
