| | Event links moved below e-mail.....Page 1 of 1 | Dear Admin:
Will you please move the event links back above the e-mail?? They are lost below the e-mail.
Love, Tpot
P.S. The blue is lovely.

| Event links moved below e-mail..... Posted: 1/13/2009 9:27:44 AM | MY sentiments exactly :) Did I spell that right tpot? sentiments...sentaments...sentamints Yeah...it's right :)
I do like the blue...but agree with the placement...also...we lost our "local" link so now have to go thru a bunch of hoops in the forums format to get to it...would like to have that option again as well.
Thanks guys ! | |

| Event links moved below e-mail..... Posted: 1/13/2009 10:59:24 AM | | I am glad they have been removed from the Top of the Page, since I never look at them and only served to obstruct basic Overview of the Page. | |
|
| Event links moved below e-mail..... Posted: 1/16/2009 6:51:06 AM | Cause you are not an events host, Ticket?? And you probably are sooo disgusted with the members at the end of your moderating day, that the LAST thing YOU wanna do, is attend a party with them!
Hey Ladies....there is a more prominent thread with other hostesses, right here...not much more prominent...but come jump on the bandwagon, not that it appears to be doing much good!

| Event links moved below e-mail..... Posted: 1/16/2009 8:46:51 AM | Event links moved below e-mail..... Obstructs basic Overview at the top of the Page, hawking better than 2 Inches of Prime Inbox Real Estate.
Events are not a Priority when logging into , E-mail is, and most Users do not attend them.
You will now find a Link at the top left of your Inbox which takes you to your »» Local events... Page.
| And you always have the Option to scroll to the Bottom of the Page and find a Stack of Event Links there. |

Me likes your push button...not so sure about the drunken fish pic, unless you can add an "idiot button" caption??
I agree...it's a mess...but it is a mess that people are accustomed to. So there!

| Event links moved below e-mail..... Posted: 1/16/2009 11:56:14 AM | | I like it just fine where it is now! It was an eyesore and cluttered up the page. Now there is some space and a cleaner look! Leave it at the bottom. I never go to those events either. I don't read any of them. | |

| Event links moved below e-mail..... Posted: 1/20/2009 11:33:43 AM | Here is a thought to ponder, however.
I dunno about everywhere, but in St Louis...those who post in the forums, attend the parties. At least the majority. :O)
Also, here is what I said in the other thread of same subject, but since we have our wonderful, incredulous, phenomenal (is my nose brown enough, yet?) mods here, thought I would include it to pass on:
I think, it would be nice if Markus would just minimally agree to a happy medium or a compromise and make the lower inbox page links, GREEN. After all, they are commonly referred to as....you guessed it!...GREEN LINKS...even in Markus' own events hosting RULES. LOL Only adds confusion to new generations of fish coming in.

| Event links moved below e-mail..... Posted: 2/19/2009 9:03:08 AM | The local events used to be listed at the top of the screen & now this has changed as there is an icone that POF'ers must click to see them. I just want to suggest that you fix this back to how it was. This change has GREATLY DECREASED THE BENEFITS OF POF EVENTS. When I did events prior to this change I had a MUCH GREATER # of people sign up & now since you did the change most POF'ers don't know about it and don't sign up.
An example. I did several events on Thursdays in Manhattan for karaoke & 2 for 1 drinks prior to the change. On average 100 or MORE people signed up. Right now, I'm doing my first one since you changed the format and 20 have signed up.
Everything is the same except for the change you made. I have also asked people from POF about the local events and now MANY of the new people and even old people do not know where to find it. (Yeah they may not be brain surgeons), but since this site is designed to foster relationships and live events help that, this change has significantly HURT your goals.
I urge you to see all the other events going on and ask the people running them what they think & I know you'll get the same answers. I even looked at a friend of mine who hosts events in Long Island and her #'s are WAY DOWN TOO.
Hopefully you put things back to how they were, i.e. ALL POF'ers see the events links at the top of the page immediately when they sign up.
Thanks. | |

| Event links moved below e-mail..... Posted: 2/19/2009 9:09:13 AM | Marcus or anyone who can fix this: The last few times I did karaoke events in Manhattan I had 198 & 139 signups. This time I only have 38 due to the missing green links. It’s hardly worth it to do an event to meet people when so few show up due to this move. I’ll wait the 9 more days to the event to see what happens, but it aint looking good. If the space is needed, how bout only putting up 2 upcoming weeks of events instead of the 3-4 weeks you normally had up? | |

Marcus or anyone who can fix this: The last few times I did karaoke events in Manhattan I had 198 & 139 signups. This time I only have 38 due to the missing green links. They're NOT missing, they're simply located following your emails rather than before your emails on the same page. I'd give your event goers a bit more credit that they can see them and that It's a few other factors that may be causing the problem, or at least skewing your primary reasoning.
The January/February catch up on holiday VISA and AMEX payments, and the somewhat, to put it mildly, dismal economy lending a bigger hand than just a simple placement of links on the page move.
Suggestion in the interim Have you considered telling people when you use the Event Mass eMail feature, to be aware that the links have moved from the top to the bottom of the page?

| Event links moved below e-mail..... Posted: 2/25/2009 10:23:06 PM | Your idea is good but I think the economy factor is only a nominal one. My events are free admissino & usu. have 2 for 1 drink passes or some other giveaway. I'm sure it's because basically people are lazy and do what's easy (as they do throughout life). Since now they have to look for the links they don't.
I will tell them in the mass email where the link is now, but I don't think this will increase the #'s as a) the people I'm talking about who sign up are the ones who sign up BEFORE I even do the mass email-those are the #'s that are really down, and b) the people who get the mass email and read it already see that there's a link to the event in it so telling them of another link won't really help.
The real people who are not signing up are the ones who used to just see the link at the top and click on it because they saw something by their home town. These people often do not even open up or look at the mass emails.
I might be wrong, but for tomorrow's event, I only have 60 people signed up and the # for all the prior times I've held it has been much higher even though the economy was poor. So, the link movement caused the decline. It might not be worth it to POF to fix it-that I understand, but I'm pretty sure that's why the #'s are down.
Oh well. | |

| Event links moved below e-mail..... Posted: 3/2/2009 12:57:46 AM | Just did my first event since the event link change & the numbers were dismal. Had 65 people sign up and about 40 showed up. Prior to change had 100-200 sign up & at least 100 per event.
The events are a major way how people meet which helps POF. Now, this method has been impaired.
Oh well. | |
