Mine are......
1. Never trust a man whos eyebrows meet.
2. Don't do to others what you wouldn't want done to yourself.

I had a relationship with a man whos eyebrows met. I met him through a dating website and I thought that I'd give him the benefit of the doubt when I met him in person and saw that his eyebrows met but I should have heeded my first saying because he turned out to be totally untrustworthy. I'll be sticking by that saying totally now!

Anyone got any sayings that they thought that they should have heeded?

As god as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!! (For those of us old enough to remember that WKRP Thanksgiving episode!)

Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling.

(Just read that one the other day. I love stars and sky metaphors, so this one had me lmao!)

I live my life inside a cuckoo clock! Paraphrasing Homer...Simpson, that is!

"If you can't say something nice about someone, you haven't gotten to know them well enough yet!"

"If you think I'm bad now........ I've already been helped."

"Of course I understand what you're saying....... I took 4 years of STUPIDITY in high school just so I could understand people like you!"

"The working class of people pronounce the word as.... JUSTICE.
However, most poloticians pronounce that same word as, JUST....US!"

Mine- for those into self-awareness and growth is:
"You don't see things as they are-you see things as YOU are.
Change your perception-change your reality because it is your attitude that determines your experience of the world. YOU are the only one who thinks in your mind".

If we could only all understand the power of these words-the world could change in a moment...with everyone working on themselves instead of others.
Just a thought to consider....Peace and Love out there.

My favorite sayings are from Mae West:

When I'm good, I'm very, very good, but when I'm bad, I'm better.

When women go wrong, men go right after them.

Anything worth doing is worth doing slowly.

I'll try anything once, twice if I like it, three times to make sure.
