| What is your worst habit?
Posted: 1/20/2009 3:58:33 AM | As I have spent 20 minutes looking for my car keys........still have not found them, I wonder if we all have habits that drive ourselves nuts? I always try to hang the keys on a hook as I come in the door.........as I know there will be a search if I don't....and I usually do put them there. Last night I placed the keys on my library books, which are due to day, and the books are there but the keys aren't there. That would not be so bad, but I can't find the second set and I was supposed to leave for work 20 minutes ago. I am sitting here trying to remember where they might have walked off to and the dogs aren't telling.

papers papers everywhere and not a drop to drink... the paper's the thing wherein we'll catch the boredom of the king...frailty thy name is paperwork!...it's a dead paper, pining for the fjords... | |

Actually, that's a very GOOD habit. My Dad was well known for treating every one with the same kindnes -- no matter they treated him. It's a mark of self control that I strive for -- admire, and envy. I try very hard to emulate my Dad, in that area. I do most of the time, but occasionally fall short.
Your "habit" also involves a lot of personal security and self-respect. Not to mention the ability to sleep nights, and the good feeling of knowing that you have not gotten down on another's level. I think you should be proud of your "habit", Byrd. I admire YOU, too, for this strength.
Just remember to continue to set your own boundaries (don't let others walk all over yor! but keep on setting them with kindness, tact, and respect. | |

My wickedest habit is leaving liars stranded miles from their homes with no way to get home.
My weakest habit is going miles out of my way to pick up tearful, frightened liars who cry on the phone when they call to beg for a ride.
No, I've never stranded anyone.
