| Can you hide "Last 5 Forum Posts" from profile?
Posted: 1/21/2009 8:57:02 PM | Is it possible? I don't really like having it there.
I've looked in the Edit Profile options and haven't found anything. It's possible that I am partially blind, or stupid. Maybe both!

Anything you post can not be deleted. They really meant that. Its so the community is actually held accountable here for what we say.

If you decide you dont like what you have posted on the forums...
Just post on 5 threads and do benign replys then that will move them off your profile...
even though they will stay on your history for awhile | |

Just to clarify, I didn't mean I wanted to delete posts on the forum, just wanted them to not show in the profile. Not that it changes the answer or anything, but it seemed like a few misinterpreted what I meant.

Posted: 7/15/2009 9:17:53 PM | In my opinion it is bad that one cannot remove the forum posts from ones profile.
The moderator stated that the reason for this is because it forces people to 'behave' and be accountable for what they say. The moderator should note that it takes away a users ability to chose how he/she wants to present his/herself to the other POF users.
I would point out that if other POF users want see somebodys forum posts then they can quite easily go to the forums and look it up for themselves.
Ultimately it is not something worth getting upset about. If somebody really does not want it there they can delete their profile and sign back up. Stubborn people might delete their profile and not sign back up, either due to rage or in some form of protest or boycott. It would be a shame for POF to lose those people because of a silly policy about not fishies not allowed to remove forum posts from their profile. | |
