| What do people think of my profile? Posted: 2/11/2009 3:44:57 AM | Hello,
I'm new here, and the reason I joined is because I've recently come out of a long relationship, about 3 years long, and typically, during that time, the number of female friends I had reduced, so I'm after getting to know some new people, and just having fun for a while, until I meet someone that I have a huge spark with and can see having another relationship with.
I'm trying to avoid making it sound like I'm just on here for 1 reason, which I'm not, but I'm not after another long term straight away either.
What do people think of my profile, and does anyone have any suggestions for ways I can improve it?
Thanks. | |

I am a fun loving guy, who's been unlucky in love recently and I am looking for the right girl to give me faith back in the female species! I'm not looking for a serious long term relationship straight away though, I just want to have some fun, but if the right person does come along, my opinion may change. I was in a relationship all through sixth form college and university so (although it sounds bad) I am after some fun that I feel like I missed out on, which is my reason for registering here, but my philosophy may change depending on who I meet, so it's tough to say. This all sounds like you are still not over your previous relationship. I suggest you take it all out and concentrate on the positive qualities you have to offer women.

Does anyone have any recommendations for other areas to improve upon?

I did not see it in its original form, but what I am seeing now is excellent! The only thing I would add is possibly a few more "interests". Finally, someone else who likes "Savage Garden"!! Your photo is amazing. Add a few more! XV

Thanks for your comments though, I'll add a few more interests in there.
Thanks! | |

| What do people think of my profile? Posted: 2/11/2009 11:38:58 AM | Sorry if I really am being thick, but how do you know my surname begins with Mc?
Thanks for the profile comments though, appreciate it!
Although I've checked my image votes, and apparently, I've had 10 votes, but 5 of them have been from people ages 41+!
As I'm only 23, is there something about my profile that doesn't seem to appeal as much to girls in my own age range?

| What do people think of my profile? Posted: 2/11/2009 12:24:52 PM | | OK let's just forget it lol. It was meant to be lighthearted. I don't know if your name begins with Mc nor did I think it did. MINE does. It's water under the bridge now... | |

| What do people think of my profile? Posted: 2/11/2009 6:49:59 PM | Hi there - ... a few thoughts ....
To get girls your age to look at your photo, use a closeup smiling (with teeth!) casual headshot, in colour. Girls are visual too! The black-and-white is a lovely shot, but better suited for a gallery photo than the main. Channel your inner Colin Farrell.
It may also be turning off some viewers with the "Prefer not to Say" answer to Do You Want Kids. The female of the species will read this as "I hate kids", or "I may already have a kid somewhere.... I think....." Either way, change it to Undecided/Open or even Yes or No if that's the case.
You have 3 favourites in a week. Not a bad start. However - there are more guys than gals here so you need to bring your game face to get noticed. A more detailed profile body will hopefully give your viewer some points in common and a way to feel a connection. If you're reeeeeally lucky, someone will email you first. Once you've got the profile set up, go ahead and email ladies you find interesting. Good luck!
ps - does your headline mean you are looking for a 'fun-loving' girl, or a fun, loving girl?

| What do people think of my profile? Posted: 6/27/2009 10:47:06 AM | I've recently updated my profile to include 3 more pictures and a longer description. I've tried to describe myself better as recently a girl said I wasn't her type after we met up, so I want to give people a better insight into me before it gets that far.
I also think my original picture (the black and white one) was too artistic, and maybe just a "lucky shot" and perhaps wasn't giving people an accurate portrayal of me. Maybe my other pictures are better or worse!
If anyone has any constructive criticism, please feel free to give it to me. And if any girls think (for example), I look like a geek, feel free to suggest what I might do instead. I'm not going to change myself, I'm happy with myself, but if someone said "you look silly like that, have you tried this", it'd be good to get that feedback.
Thanks in advance people!
