I recently rented the movie Good Luck Chuck and thought it was funny except for the terrible love story part. The guy showed many red flags; he was overly jelous, very clingy, and went over the top with buying her way too many flowers and had singers come to her work after only a few dates.
Then the girls brother puts the thought into her head that maybe she will never find another mate that would be so devoted to her.
After the guy purchases airplane tickets to track her down before she leaves for the antarctic he gets the girl and guess what ? Happily ever friggin after! This annoys me because people are going to watch movies like this and think this is a normal way to date when in reality this type of love story usually ends up bad.

Do you think this story is as bad as Disney? (girl thinks prince charming will save her so she doesn't do anything for herself and thinks life will be great when she meets him)

It's time to enter the real world... It's just a movie darlin'... You're statements and questions are making it sound like you think the movie is suppose to be rules to live by or something...
Sometimes movies don't turn out the way they think it will while they are sitting in a little office reading a script...

You want a real life type movie, go watch Untamed Heart... It's a bit on the old side, but it isn't a "Happily Ever Friggin After", I'll tell you that much if you haven't seen it...

Of course over 90% of movies are going to be Happily Ever After... Who wants to watch Depressing movies all the time??? This is why the Bad Guy never gets away in 99% of movies, because people don't want to see the bad guy win, it would be depressing...

They don't need to watch a movie-- people already think like this.
"I'll know The One when I see her/him"
"It was love at first sight"
"I found my soul mate"
"I got butterflies and just knew!"
"We met for coffee and I knew he/she was romantic, fun, exciting, smart, decent, kind, considerate, loving, warm-- everything I wanted!"
"He/she's perfect!"

I don't see that this movie is any more unrealistic than any other "boy-meets-girl" movie.

And if someone can't distinguish reality from a Hollywood-scripted fairy tale, they have MUCH bigger fish to fry.

i watched the movie and have a diferent point of view. here are the tips i picked up from the movie:

quantity of sex doesnt make a man happy
you dont have to be a hot blonde type to get the guy
you should have your own interests
a guy likes it when a girl is silly or can at least show her vulnerabilities
a guy really really likes it when the girl shows she wants him

Hey OP................I went to see this movie with a female friend who was mostly shocked at the sex scenes that were all happening at the same time................she honestly didn't know which way to turn!

I agree it was a ridiculous movie that was probably only made as a vehicle for Jessica Alba's "talents"..................LOL
