| Hey Lets Meet, But Then Not Really Posted: 2/24/2009 9:19:48 PM | | I am new to this site and was wondering how often people really meet someone they like on here. How often do people talk about actally meeting someone they chat with on here and how often do they follow through? I had a guy friend who was chatting with a woman on a site for about three months and she kept delaying the time she said she wanted to meet him. Finally they got togther one time for coffee and he seemed to think they had a great time and really hit it off. Then he planned out a Valentines Day dinner for her and she totally ditched him with a no call no show. She had even texted him to tell him she was looking forward to seeing him the Thursday before (Vday was a Saturday). This makes no sense to me. Why would anyone spend so long talking to someone just to blow them off like that? I hear that is a common thing that happens on these sites. Is that true? | |

| Hey Lets Meet, But Then Not Really Posted: 9/17/2009 10:25:02 PM | I have met a lot of ladies off of this site. Some were just physical, some actually went into dating and relationships, and like your man, some were just wasting time. Personally I have had more positives than negatives, but the way I feel about it is, "who cares", that is what dating is. Maybe she found someone else, maybe she was a time waster, or being a woman and there being a lot of creeps online or in the real world, maybe she just got scared at the last minute.
Point is, I can personally say I have met a lot of people I have really liked on here and vice versa, in fact, some are very good friends to this day. What will be, will be, and if not, there are plenty of fish in the sea, lol. Don't overgeneralize and let it stop you thinking there aren't real people on here looking for real relationships. | |
