| Protection Posted: 6/27/2005 1:13:27 PM | | OK - what's with all the teenage mom's? I just read about an 18-yr old girl here who's pregnant with a guy she only just started seeing. This is NOT just the guy's fault (altho I do admit he did have a part in this). Protection is cheap and easy to get. So why do peope insist on not using it?!?! Are you that determined to screw up your life? | |

I dont place the responsibility on their shoulders 100% either -- it takes two to tango (so-to-speak).
Head to your nearest Wal-Mart, get a couple of boxes of condoms, and be safe! If you think you might get lucky, bring a few with ya!
Remember all of those cute slogans in the 80s?
"If you're gonna attack her, wrap your wacker! Getting some love? Wear the glove? Sleepin with Venus? Cover your penis!"
In all seriousness, sex is sex. But taking a chance at potentially bringing a child into the world is serious business. Taking a chance at contracting a disease is serious business.
Sometimes I wonder if there shouldn't be a license required for sex. Those who are simply incapable of intelligent, rational, and responsible thought should be neutered.

You feel it a lot more when you don't have one. That's one of the reasons I don't like using them, and another is because for some reason, a lot of them (75%) break for me and the guy I'm with. But that's also why I'm on birth control so it's not like I'm totally unprotected. I want kids... just not yet. I'm also very careful to make sure that any guy I'm with hasn't contracted some disease from someone in his past.

I wonder how they would feel with green stuff dripping from it or a big sore that comes and goes, and lets not forget about warts from hell not to mention all the little critters they carry without feeling that can be transfered to a partner that will feel it. Unless youre in a commited relationship wrap it up for all our sakes.

| Protection Posted: 1/18/2006 11:10:15 AM | | Yeah, I am very appalled at kids getting pregnant in this day and age. I think that even young 20 somethings ( within University B.A. years ) is still too early to be pregnant! I think that they should've thought very carefully...bc I have not met one woman who did NOT regret having children at such a young age. Although they love their children, they are realizing that it's best to have children at a later age and that if they could turn back the time, they would have! I am 26 and I am nowhere near wanting to even get married, let alone have a kid. I see myself getting my first kid in my early 30s or mid 30s, and that;s just me. I want to experience all facets of life...exhaust all possibilities and opportunities, before I get pregnant...and alas, women who have had children in their teens cannot even do what they always wanted to do, bc the children will always come first. | |
