| When did you first discover you sleepwalk?
Posted: 3/8/2009 3:23:36 PM | I had no idea I did. It kind of freaked me out actually. I would wake up in the morning and accuse my mom of turning my alarm clock off and she'd swear she wasn't. Then eventually, after doing this enough times, we realized it was me. Apparently, I've been doing it on and off for years.
But recently, I've been doing it more. My brother told me I walked out into the living room late one night and sat down in my chair. He kept calling my name before he realized I was sleep walking. I never heard him and I never remember getting up and walking around after either he or my mom has seen me do it in the middle of the night if they happen to be up. It kind of spooks me sometimes. I don't like that I can't remember doing it. I'm wondering if stress triggers more episodes.
Do you sleep walk? Are you seeing a doctor about it if you're doing it a lot? Just wondering how many other sleepwalkers we have on here. | |

Posted: 3/8/2009 3:46:46 PM | I've only ever sleepwalked once, when I was around 8. I don't know what triggered it, but I woke up with my shoes on, laying on the sofa with the TV on. I didn't know what had happened or why I was there, so I just went back to my room in a daze. Never gave it much thought until a couple years later when people were discussing sleepwalking and I remembered.
If I *am* still doing it, then I must be returning back to my bed when I'm done. | |

Posted: 3/9/2009 2:11:19 AM | | My fiancee sleep walks BADLY, with him it's almost a nightly occurance. I grew out of sleep walking, I stopped once puberty hit. If your really concerned about it go to a local sleep clinic, sometimes it can be treated. | |

Then a few times I had a sandwhich in my hand in the living room. Mostly now I just find myself in front of the tv in the middle of the night. It may be stress related. It doesn't bother me to sleep walk anymore. I have put more locks on the doors. | |

Posted: 3/15/2009 7:14:30 AM | i realized 6 months ago i was sleep walking. was not a good experiance. but i can see the funny side. also realizing the dangers in it.
i was getting worried that some one intering my flat in the night as when i got up in the morn, my flat door was always open. this was happening for quiet a while. just couldnt fathem out what was going on. untill one morning, i woke up to find a pink dressing gown at the end of my bed. and yes my door was wide open. it was all very blury in my head as to what had happened. i remembered vaguelly being helped down the stairs in a pink dressing gown. but couldnt remember much else. as the morning went on it all became very clear. it was me that was leaving the door open.lol
apparently i was up their for an hour and a half. treating the place as if it were my own. good job these people were understanding. i could have been in so much trouble. as i was as naked as a new born baby. hence the pink dressing gown. lesbians live in that flat know. hope i dont do it again | |

Posted: 4/12/2009 8:42:02 PM | That's what scares me (as far as some of you mentioning walking outside) That I have no idea I've done it...that I have no control over the situation. Spooks me. I think mine is stress related too though. The more stressed I am, the more my brother or mom tells me they've seen me get up while I'm actually still asleep.
So far, I haven't walked out of our apartment yet. (thank goodness)
Interesting stories. Thank you to all who have (or will) share. It is a very odd and sometimes troubling sleep disorder. Some folks do all kinds of things while sleep walking, eating, drinking, etc. | |
