Which left me wondering if this means he is a bewb dude... So what does the term "voluptuous" mean to you? (Of course I suppose whatever it means, it's possible for someone to appreciate voluptuous figures as well as other types...) | |

I have been called that myself, as it fits my body type. I am not stick thin, but I would never be considered fat either. I am extremely curvy, and some men just dig that. There are men out there who prefer wafer thin women, and those who like very large women, Thank God for them all!!!!! | |

I was waiting for that~seems to be a stereotype that shows up in every "voluptuous" conversation.
For me, it means curvy and it doesn't always mean overweight! It means curves in beautiful proportion. And I certainly DON'T go around advertising my cleavage.

I always considered it proportionate/balanced curves from top to bottom. the chest in a front or profile view do not over/underwhelm the top/bottom half(arse and boobs are the same width). In profile the legs curves match the torso's curves. A wasp-waist w/ hourglass proportions. Or to quote "Frankenhooker" ....."All the right parts in all the right places"
The term is used to describe average or exagerated hour-glass figures. It is not to be confused w/ zoftig or Rubinesque figures.
I was called "voluptuous" when I weighed 120lbs, and still get called that today. Like most definations of body type today-it's based on a personal definition. | |
