and how is it not working for you?
are you searching for a user in peticular that you know is here but you still cant find them?

if so, they could always have a hidden profile and not show up in the search engine so once again how is it not working for you?

Yes a girlfriend wanted me to look at a particular persons profile, so I put him in the user search box and he wouldn't come up and she had just talked to him that day so I knew he was on site. They are from Australia, so I did wonder this morning if maybe, he had excluded people from outside their region, so wouldn't show up as available 'to me'... because I did pop in her alias as well and she didn't show up (tho no exclusions), then mine and I did??? Will play around with it again today.

If a profile doesn't show up on a user search, and you're sure you're spelling the name correctly, then it's either hidden or been deleted. Mail settings don't make any difference for that kind of search.

i could use little help here also,friend has hidden profile,,cant find on user search,,but can still see becuase she has me as a friend,dont think shes been on lately,,but seems once every 4 weeks,,,says she logged in,,generally same time...is this a automatic update from POF?

The logical conclusion would be that it's her logging in. While not ruling out the possibility of some glitch, there's no good reason for POF to show someone as logged in when they're not.
