Hi I,m coming to the UK from Australia and Jun/July for about 6 months and am hoping to do a bit of traveling in between working.

I have been over there twice but have always gone to Europe for my breaks but now I want to see the United Kingdom and would like to do it on the back of a motor bike so if anyone knows of any bike clubs that I could get in contact with that do weekends away I would appriciate hearing from you.

Not bikies but biker groups

It may be worth contacting one of the local groups listed on this site - http://www.mag-uk.org/
Even if they don't offer quite what you're looking for I'm sure they could point you in the right direction.

Depends what area you will be at,

here are about 50 motorcycle clubs
http://www.dropbears.com/bikelinks/Clubs/UK_Motorcycle_Clubs/

Try searching google for UK MOTORCYCLE CLUBS to get pages with lists of them, and add the name of the town at the end, to have all the clubs in that area.

Thanks..

Hope you have a super nice holiday, summer in the uk is fantastic.

Bristol is a pretty place to go with lots of wide open spaces. The suspension bridge is amazing. Its a great city to ride bikes.

Mr Pangolan and Aztec mystery,

Thank you for the links will look them up and hopefully find someone or a group of people that doesn,t mind an extra pillion to see that wonderful country side of yours. Day trips, week ends away or even longer

Bluesunny I do agree Bristol is a pretty place I worked in Bath last year which is where I hope to be base this time so I did get to spend a bit of time in Bristol having a couple of days there from time to time before heading to the airport to fly out for my breaks,
But hopefully I will find a few biker friends that will take me touring around the UK on my weeks off this time.
Thank you

Hi fellow forumites. Can you please help me to help a friend from down under?

She has just sent me this email, but I'm hopeless at knowing where to look/how to organise travel.

From reading the forums, I know a few of you are seasoned travellers/explorers, so any assistance would be much appreciated.

Hi to you A****,

Thanks for the link will certainly check it out, but in the mean time can you help me out?

I fly into Stansted on Frid 24th July and I am going to go to Brussels for a week from the Sunday 26th because I don't start work until the 5th August. So could you:

1. Find out the easiest and cheapest way to get there. Train or Bus?

2, If I go by Eurostar do I leave from Waterloo station and is it still called Waterloo? Someone told me it is St Pancas

Thanks

I*****

Eurostar trains now use St Pancas station rather than waterloo, much easier to get to from stansted. You'd probably be best off flying to brussels straight from stansted rather than attempting to bus or train it
