Posted: 3/15/2009 2:29:02 AM | Thanks to those who ventured out to the Waldorf Hotel for an evening of salsa. We had a wonderful time for
the brief time we were there in spite of management and security.
Regrettably this will be the last time I host an event at The Waldorf. Management was rude about the room
we have always been given access to for the salsa lesson. Management/entertainment promoter was rude
when they wanted to rearrange the tables and they were rude about charging the males in attendance the
cover charge 45 minutes after we had already been there.
A big round of thanks to the two members that taught the merengue lesson in spite of the hindrances.
We got some great shots of the lesson before hand.
Although this is the 5th time an event has been hosted at The Waldorf they obviously don't appreciate
the business and since we weren't made to feel welcome we chose not to stay. We got cover charges
refunded and took our business elsewhere. The Marine Pub was rocking and we had a great time there.
My sincere apologies to anyone who showed up later to find we had vacated the premises.

The weather was perfect for the snowshoe outing but I think most of us are planning on having a nap shortly. | |
