| Because everybody in Canada lives in an Igloo Posted: 4/7/2009 11:00:46 PM | Gooooooooooooooooooooood lord, and I thought that the U.S. were the only country, that needed to take lessons, and learn more about Canadian Culture.
Oh, one more to add, we do have two official languages in Canada, French and English,, with a whole mixture of other languages, guess that would make Canada a multi-cultural country, oui.

While working at a hotel in Dorval, a guest from the US asked me if I spoke "American." I said no, I spoke English and then proceeding to talk with as many "Beauty" "Eh" and references to beer, snow and donuts as I could! Beauty!

| Because everybody in Canada lives in an Igloo Posted: 5/5/2009 8:00:44 AM | pure ignorance... Everyone thinks that we wear winter jackets zipped up to our face! Its funny how people see us Canadians as Eskimos all around. I was watching a cartoon with my daughter, and they had some Canadian friends coming over...guess how they were dressed??????? Yup, winter jacket, scarf, mitts and the whole shabang!!!! Anyways, the heck with them, I love being Canadian and a Montrealer... Just imagine x-mas without snow, all those people down south will never know what its like!!!
Just my thoughts | |

| Because everybody in Canada lives in an Igloo Posted: 5/5/2009 1:18:02 PM | What about the penguins too? (OK true, we elect some of them every 4 years) or the running gag about the furry canadian snake....... The reality is the same for us when we are faced with other remote countries or their culture; so am a bit more tolerant and simply smile when I read some of the stuff. | |

| Because everybody in Canada lives in an Igloo Posted: 7/12/2009 1:37:29 PM | I live in an igloo too, but it's always a bit of a challenge to keep it from melting in summer. Than goodness I have A/C!
Truth be told, with all the rain we've been having lately, I've seriously considered trading in my igloo for an ark.

The others had me laughing out loud- atm, supermarkets, perfume, polar bears in the street, etc.
But the best one was the direction of north!
