Who wins on net dating sites

My name is Mark. I have a PhD in philosophy. I have studied the Bible fairly close to ten years. I have taught seminars. I have visited 14 countries. I have read thousands of articles of couples married and witnessed some amazing things thru their lives and when a power (angel) has come to them in no doubt from the work and miracle of our Lord. All this data is compiled into facts and figures. My first question is this:

Who wins on the net dating the Lord or Evil?

I have a daughter that as you see on my profile had her heart broken from these sites. I have talked to some woman already on here and have met three. Two didn’t turn out. One did we went on three meets. Today was our third. After our first conversation we talked on the phone and she came back on line and deleted her profile. I spent about a total of 14 hours with her and today she will be back on to join this post. Like my daughter she had her heart torn out 3 times in 5 years. OUCH We are not a couple a Christian to a Christian one that may have thought she was stronger into her faith.

I also sent out two very lengthy emails to three woman, whom I had just instant messaging conversations with. Those chats fell short when I stopped them for different reasons and both of them know why.

To begin this post I would like to hear about the stories good and bad from anyone that does care to share. Email me here on plenty of fish and I promise each one will get a reply. Thanks for your time.

Mark

Check out the 'testimonials' thread - lots of success stories there.

And lots of 'rotten dates' plus 'broken hearts' throughout the forums, too.

Who is to say either is really winning on the net dating? For all the facts and figures compiled, there are many different criteria one could use to try to determine what good and evil are done on these sites which is likely numerous in both cases. I'm just wondering what significance if any is there in the answer there.

There are various sins involved in some net dating sites that should be obvious to some but does that mean there wouldn't be other possibilities for the same sin if the net dating sites were taken out of the equation? In contrast, I'd be curious to know if there are many success stories of non-believers getting married to those devout in their faith and how that has worked out or not worked out.

Sorry that I don't have any stories to share other than I have broadened my social circle some by being on this site and learning of various events as well as sharing in the forums to varying degrees.

However not all believe that there is a God, so how would said person then stray from intentions!

It wasn't the website that broke your daughters heart, it was the people she met on it and dated. The same heart break could have come from having met someone in the grocery store!

It seems like you are relating the fact that women that have had their hearts broken to something that is "evil". Isn't heartbreak a natural reminder to appreciate what is real love?

The internet is only a tool and so is subject to the intentions of all of the millions of people who use it. If you go on an internet dating site it's no different than mingling with many people at a social gathering. You are putting your heart on the line hoping to meet someone, and you get disappointed when it doesn't work out. There is no difference in online dating, it is neutral, so the Lord and Evil are fighting each other (if that is how you see the world) the exact same way on the internet as in regular life.

OP, dating, regardless of where one meets, is subject to the "laws of "so"

Some work, some don't, so what?

I've had many relationships/dating situations in my "everyday life" meetings and I'm currently single. So considering that my heart's been disappointed many, many times without the use of any "online dating", are relationships in general the work of the devil?

Not to deflect the question but this could very well impact my answer as to how many stray:

Do we know for sure what God's intentions are? I mean, do we know that God isn't sitting up in Heaven watching us and enjoying the various lives we all live down here?

OP,
God has compassion.(always good).
It is humans that have intentions(good or bad).
Please don't confuse the two.
Cus it is very human to do.

God. And if you studied the Bible you know it and must have the faith. Period. Do not question God.

Stray Cat, Pretty good answer, God is always Good but he also teaches.
Humans are born imperfect (with free will and with a twist of Temptations)
Do not assume that I have confused the two never do! Mark

In this arena of good versus evil it has to be a tie. There is nothing that is all good, or all evil. The habit of siding one against the other creates conflict. It's a war where there is no victory for it having been fought. I prefer to leave that battle to the devils and the angels, with my role as a man being to fulfill my mortal destiny as a clown in the circus of life.

I have never made a statement that God made me come here. What I believe is that a true Christian who is has knowledge of Bible in a deep level is not questining God. A couple of ladies who rejected you on a dating website is not a reason for questining God from a deep Christian perspective.

That was brief Renaissanceman, What if net dating sites required for us to fill out all the bad qualities about ourselves, and that there was no way to cheat the LAW OF "SO".
Lets just say the first bad quality would have to be your worst thing you ever did in another relationship, then number to least. Would you be on here then? Would you try to Market yourself to woman? Mark

Tom if you are to read my post I was not rejected. Re read the post I stopped the conversation, it was nothing to do with rejection from either party. So what made you come here if I may ask you that question? Mark

I don't think it matters who wins on the net dating sites. This could happen anywhere. I am finding that dating has changed over the years with people showing less respect for others. With me I try to keep an open mind and just take one day at a time and not get my hopes up with anyone I meet not falling head over heel for anyone. If the first date is promising I would hope there would be a 2nd and 3rd date. People judge too quickly about not liking someone, I can understand a total not interested at first meeting but there are some that they still might show promise. I know it is discouraging talking and meeting people and not finding Mr./Ms. Right. With my experience I have had some men ask me if I have web cam or send them pictures of my privates on the very first greeting, that shows lack of respect for me and I have learned to shut them down. To me they could care less about who I am and not wanting a serious relationship only to make themselves get off. I have met a couple of men only meeting them for an hour and we had our 2nd date and he tells me he wants to date me exclusively, hey, let me get to know you first! I would be happy to date someone exclusively but I would like it to be mutual. I am loosing interest in hoping to meet Mr. Right with the choices that have been offered.
