| Do you think I still have a chance here?
Posted: 4/1/2009 12:37:12 AM | To be honest I have really gotten no where with this site and I am ready to call it quits.
I was originally referred by a friend who found her boyfriend on this site and thought that I'd give it a shot and see if it would work the other way around. Well I guess for me it has not yet.
Do you think it is worth it to keep my profile or am I just wasting my time here? What do you think? | |

Give it some time and hang in there. If your friend found her boyfriend on this site, then that tells you something, doesn't it?
Take your profile over to the Profile Review Forum and get some help with it, for starters.

Everytime I think I don't have a chance, Bam...something falls in my lap, and guess what? I got another chance! I just roll that way.
Of course sometimes it's just crumbs or a little ketsup that drops in my lap. Then I've got another chance to do laundry. Life is wierd, but I like it.

Wondering whether it's me or women on this site are really afraid of meeting someone off of here.
I'd like to say I am a good guy but unfortunately the people that abuse this kind of site make women extra cautious. I feel it's a catch-22. I know women are uncomfortable with meeting with people they don't know but yet they are on this site. | |

Posted: 4/1/2009 4:47:51 AM | the opportunities to meet people in the real world as a 21 yr old must be infinately more than as , ie, a single mother, an older/retired person, a seperated but not yet divorced person , etc
keep the profile on here, nothing ventured nothing gained and all that.. but get off out, meet up with your mates- guys have sisters/cousins etc- accept every invitation to socialise as you can, even if its from a girl you are not attracted to-girls have friends/sisters/cousins etc- and network.. take a walk in a park, or join more activities (whatever your interested in..) and meet real people...
probably the reason you are not having success on here is because all the single girls in your area of your age group are doing just that...!! | |

You want something, you put yourself out there; you get disappointed, you finally give up and start to walk away; and then all of a sudden when you aren't looking you have something slap you that knocks your socks off...
Instead of looking for the one, look to start talking to people, start meeting people, start getting to know people.
The more people you talk to, the more comfortable you get. The more comfortable you get, the more you will meet. The more you meet, the better chance you will have that one of them will eventually interest you more than a little. Just relax and enjoy people.
and yes, people in here do actually want to meet; not forever email, at least on average; though the first meet always varies in how long it takes some people.

Humour is the best thing to use on online dating and LEARN from each conversation you have. PRACTICE! PRACTICE! PRACTICE!
You get better at understanding girls the more you talk to them. The more you understand them, the better you are at charming them.
