Hi there. I would appreciate it if any of you folk could take a look at my profile and let me know what you think. I know what I meant when I typed it, but I don't know what people think when they read it. What kind of person do you think I am from this profile? Thanks.

Over all I quite liked my impression of it. Not very much I found unattractive. A few more recent pictures would help. Nice use of the word tactile, not many do that first time around.

One thing I am sure should be removed is the high maintenance reference, rest of the paragraph works just as easily without it. Not too sure about the contact paragraph at the end, but your own history will tell you how well that works based on number of gents who mention the book.

Well done,

Mike

I have just had someone accuse me of being misleading because, in my profile I say I am divorced, when, according to them, it should be separated. This is because my divorce is between the decree nisi and the decree absolute stages. I felt that because the process of the divorce was going through and there was no intention on either side to defend it or prevent it happening, that my status should be divorced. Needless to say, I wasn't trying to be misleading, I just felt that 'divorce' was more appropriate to my situation than 'separated' which simply means that two folk may have decided to live apart but have not taken the legal steps necessary to completely divorce each other, as I have.
What think you?

Be honest, use separated and then explain in the "About Me"section. Just one sentence should do: "My divorce is between the decree nisi and the decree absolute stages, it should be final on ??/??/????."

Hello, Joanie.

Retail therapy is not my thing ...

Haha, good one. UCL making a mental note ...

As for the kind of friend I seek? Tall, preferably over 6ft.

I'm not sure this is wise. For example, lets assume I'm 5'10" (I wish), which is still 1/2 foot taller than you. I'll see your preference, immediately conclude "I'm too short", and move on to the next profile. Perhaps it would be better to remove this state preference, and then just weed out in the email process as you deem appropriate?

And for basically the same reason, I wouldn't mention that ...

Taurus or Virgo Signs are supposed to be a good match for me, but I've plenty of friends, both male and female, who aren't either of those!

Other than the above-mentioned "nits", you've crafted an excellent profile.

One more thing, though ....

So please, don't try and seduce me. It's worse than having a bar of chocolate in the fridge! lol

Say what? :D I LOVE chocolate that's been in the fridge, especially Milky Way bars. Maybe you're saying that it's worse, referencing the fact that if the chocolate is in the fridge, that necessarily means it hasn't been eaten yet? With that I agree -- nothing worse than having chocolate and not eating it.
