WARNINGS!!
Posted: 4/7/2009 4:26:58 PM
There have been some extended discussions on these pages of the appropriate content of the warning to give your partner before you cum, and some others about how the -O- is just not there sometimes, which kinda makes me wonder:
How much warning does your body give to you that the O wave is gonna break over you?
As a guy, I pretty much know that just about any sexual act with a woman is gonna deliver, and I get 5-15 seconds of advance "notice". Which kinda cramps the eloquence of any warning I can offer to my partner. Lol. I did see a flick once where Ron Jeremy did a countdown from 30 (but it took about 15 seconds on film).
At some point, during the deed, or maybe even before, a woman seems to know well before that it's either gonna happen or not. So, can ladies start, like, a countdown from 1,000?
And, (ladies' option), if you do enjoy more notice of your own approaching -O-, do you use that opportunity to fill his ear with eloquence, or kinda shut your eyes tight and keep it between you and the wave?

I control when the O wave rolls for both of us.
Takes practice, try hanging a couple of wet towels on it if need be.

I can't say I have a countdown from a thousand.. but yea.. I can tell when it's imminent.. When it is? I usually grab on to my partner and let him know.... Not sure if I really answered all of your question Whyte..I got a bit carried away in thought!

I can tell when it's 'close' as opposed to 'far' from the clenching of my muscles, and dripping of sweat, but the actual moment almost always catches me by surprise.

She should consider herself on notice from the first email.

I knew a guy who counted down FROM 5. Never made it all the way to finish because I couldn't stop laughing, thus had to stop.

Edited because Imeant from, not to

Mandakay, five was the best? What number was his usual forte? One, two, three or four? We are talking seconds right? Perhaps the laughing didn't help methinks...

Mandakay; definitely makes more sense now so thank you for the clarification.

*SNORT!*
You should have warned me about this. A girl needs to prepare herself appropriately and have tissues on hand for just such a thing. Really. Thanks.

Whytwater.. most men don't need to warn me, I'll know. The only time I like a warning is if he has a rather *ahem* forceful and copious *erm* ejaculation. My guy, the first time he came during oral DIDN'T warn me and damn near choked me. Now I know to aim him towards my cheek instead of down my throat.

As for me, personally, if I give you a *specific* warning, as in "I'm going to cum/I'm cumming", then you can essentially kiss it good bye. *POOF!* It's gone like the dodo bird. I'll give you vocal and non-verbal cues that it's imminent, but you'll never hear me SAY it. Sometimes I know it's building and getting closer, sometimes I don't... so a countdown wouldn't work for me.

Brilliant!

I can feel it building for quite a while; but once it becomes imminent; I'm like you, very few seconds notice.

I'm kinda surprised. From two seasoned posters, I was kinda expecting /\ /\from a guy, and this \/\/ concept from a woman:

I can feel it building for quite a while;

I just seem to recall several ladies say, in various posts, that they always know when it's just not happenin', like for the rest of the night. Guess I just assumed that women had the same ability to "project" when it IS gonna happen, and not just when it's imminent/POOF/gone, like some high heat right over the plate. Lol.

Oh, and Sassy, there's no better place to get lost than in thought, except maybe a lover's eyes.

Um shouldn't you be able to tell when your partner is about to orgasm? I mean if you are really into your partner and understand how you both jive - it's a given when the big 'O' comes! Shouldn't you simply ride that wave together?! No warnings needed!

Well, yeah, sure, but the question was how much warning does your body give YOU that you're gonna cum. And if you can recall, uhh, did you spend any of that time communicating with your lover to cue him to cum, too?
And the other part was/is, I heard several women say that sometimes they just know it's not gonna happen, so they just work on getting the guy off, or hoping to get to the "that's a wrap" point, roll over and get some sleep. Lol.

I can always tell when my partner is about to cum... (i would say about a 30 second warning)
and if we've been going at it for a while, we're simultaneously getting closer and closer, and the intensity that i feel from him when hes about to cum, makes us cum at the same time...

Sheez...that's an easy one for my partner.
I cut the suspension rope and start throwing all the barn animals out of the bed about ten seconds prior...then try my best not to mortally clip the circus clowns during the actual "moment".

I'm pretty obvious when I'm nearly there. I start moaning louder,my legs straighten out and go stiff, and I usually start tossing my head side to side. Orgasms are very intense for me.

I usually look deep into his eyes and say in a soft sexy voice......"You have never been able to make me cum darlin"!!

Hmmm, my man knows. My first usually happens within 30 seconds of insertion. Depending on if we go our typical 25-35 minutes I could have up to 7-8. If we go marathon, 1-2 hours, I simply can't count that high but the clean up is exhausting afterwards!

I've never felt a need to ask that question.

I love it and then I wonder is this expressed unconditional love, is this an example of S&M and if so, I'm not sure which role each is playing, or is it something else?

As for me, I give ample warning. No countdown and yet very vocal.

Best,

ACP

Are you, like, Ron Jeremy's niece? I mean, that's awesome!
I have only had one lover who I knew was going to -O-, every time, and waaay before me, whether it was oral, genital, or anal, and whether or not tequila was involved.

Actually, what I was trying to get to in the OP, and what only one or two have tried to answer, is how far in advance do YOU know that you're gonna cum? And what do you do with that information?

i guess i don't feel like i need a "warning" from my partner, never have

as for myself, lets just say i don't need to SAY a word, there is plenty of other verbal indication ;)

it has simply not been my experience that there is any doubt as to whether/when either of us has made it to the "finish line," if you will

OP, i think i understand your other question about just "knowing" sometimes when it NOT going to happen..............there have been times when i just knew i would never get close to orgasm........luckily, those times have been few and far between, but they do happen, and i just accept it and have fun anyway!

i think that women sometimes purposely pretend not to climax so you can keep doing the deed. they know your neck is hurting, your tongue is about to fall off and your fingers are so cramped they look like fishing hooks but they want you to think they havent reached their climax so they can keep riding the wave while you do all the paddling.

...and then after all that work you put in they wonder why you fall asleep right after.

It definitely builds. I could not put a time on it though other than it can range from seconds to minutes depending on what he's doing and where my thoughts are.

what do you do with that information

Sometimes I tell him. Sometimes I let him go by my cues. Sometimes I just ride it out.
