| profile review, please! Posted: 4/10/2009 3:36:37 PM | Just curious about my profile and if it's alright.
I'm single and seeking to date, hope the profile's not just too stuffy.
Tell me what you think!
Anyway, advice please!
Fire away! Don't hold back!
Thanks! | |

| profile review, please! Posted: 4/10/2009 3:44:28 PM | Okay... in my opinion, you have to many interests listed off... I personally find if there are two many interests listed, I glaze over them because it's just to many to read.
Next... I love your profile... the only thing that stood out was this
Oh, by the way, if you're seeking a woman 100lbs soaking wet - If you're looking for a skinny-minnie, you'll want to keep looking. I won't ask you how big your penis is and you won't ask me my weight!
Your a beautiful women, that paragraph just kinda screamed insecurity's... and it was vulgar. I recommend deleting it.

| profile review, please! Posted: 4/10/2009 4:04:23 PM | | Ditto, delete that line as quickly as possible and I also agree with the interests, too many. I see a lot of specific bands mentioned, it's not necessary unless you are really, really nutty about a specific one. For example, if you were a deadhead, then I'd understand putting in the Greatful Dead. If you own every cd that U2 ever put out? No need to break them out. | |

| profile review, please! Posted: 4/10/2009 4:21:25 PM | Add yet a third vote to deep-six the line about wet women and men's equipment.
Actually, in fact "p*nis", along with "gold-digger", "player(s)", "liar(s)" are on a short-list of words that should appear nowhere in a woman's profile.
In yours, OP, it's simply out of place. "A few extra pounds" plus the absence of full body photos has already told us everything we need to know on that subject. Hammering home your body image anxieties is not a good idea, and certainly not with a line that fits in with the rest of your profile about as well as a dinner jacket worn at McDonalds.
And while we're on the subject of going out to eat, OP, your profile says virtually nothing about what you are looking for in a man. It might help the men to actually know that.
EDIT: I will presume that by "Timmies" the OP is referring to a donut-shop/café chain known as Tim Hortons.
Alongside NHL hockey, it is one of the elements in the secular religion of English Canada.

| profile review, please! Posted: 4/10/2009 5:21:05 PM | Thank you to all and noted about the editing of a certain line. I certainly didn't intend it to be crude; merely simply quirky.
Anyway, terrific!!

PS: yes, 'Timmies' is Tim Hortons. A coffee/donut/meeting place.

| profile review, please! Posted: 4/10/2009 7:19:30 PM | I like your first 3 pictures the best and would consider dropping the others. More is not always better. I think I would reduce some of the interests. Maybe list only the key things and a few groups. If you looking for someone conservative, try emphasizing those type of pictures and interests, if you are looking for someone artistic, try something with some flair.
Good Luck | |

| profile review, please! Posted: 4/10/2009 9:05:51 PM | | Some of your pictures seem to be a bit more in focus and I'd suggest taking one of those two, the second and third ones in the list, for your main one. Other than that, good luck fishing here. | |

Harmony and balance are my keynotes.
Well written.
Anyone willing to have an Irish woman as a friend / and still go on to lead a normal and productive life?
Being 3/4 Irish, I'm well aware that these are mutually exclusive concepts. ;)
I'll vote to keep your extensive list of interests -- mostly because they're, well, interesting. Dire Straights and Thin Lizzy? First time I've seen 'em in a profile. Since the idea is to give the reader as much material as possible to encourage an email ("Hi, I thought "Industrial Disease" was brilliant!"), it seems prudent to max out this section, to the extent it makes sense.. I wouldn't list 15 varieties of flowers, but what you've got is varied enough, and eclectic enough to hold attention. IMHO, anyhow.

| profile review, please! Posted: 4/11/2009 7:01:57 AM | Umm... your pictures are really nice. But you say Irish redundantly (I get the idea) and your interests are a bit too many. If anything that's the part that's stuffy.
That said, you should be getting a lot of hits. Not many people look that good at your age!

| profile review, please! Posted: 4/18/2009 11:58:43 AM | You have a great profile!
If you weren't half a continent away, I would be interested.
The only thing I see is that your main picture is a little fuzy. You can see when it is smaller that it is a good photo - but as it got enlarged, it lost some of the resolution. I really like the next one you have up with you on the couch leaning to one side - great smile - beautiful eyes!
