Ask no 1 bby about her favorite site. My advice is also, when you find one you like, Google it specifically. If it is for someone else, does she like hard toys or does she prefer ones with some give? Does she have a tilted uterus? If she does she may not like the rigidity of the glass.
On the positive side of glass, they can be easily kept clean and can be used in the water without a worry.
If it is for a woman, go with the medium width unless you know that she has used large widths before and prefers them. Medium width gives you a little room to move around. Depending on the length, every couple inches is good for an indent/knobby. jmo | |

Find out WHY she's reluctant. Does she have any?? Does she spend any time masturbating at all? These are important things to know prior to picking a toy or attempting to introduce someone to them. Then.. if she is the smallest bit open to trying one, I would suggest taking her to the CLASSIEST shop in your city. Walk thru the store with her and let her pick.. tell her you'll buy any toy she wants, she picks, she will have control over the size and function. If you want glass specifically, find a store in your area that has a good selection and go in and look at them. Most good shops will let you handle the merchandise before purchasing (around here they put a fresh set of batteries in a vibe and let you feel it befure purchasing.. makes sense considering you can't return the damned things!)... Glass is HEAVY and responds well to temperature play.. heat it up in a sink of hot water, or put it in an ice bucket filled with ice and water. You are going to want good lube too... not that you will necessarily need it... but it makes it soooooo much better!! I highly recommend a silicone lube. If you are planning on doing any anal, go for a heavier one like Elbow Grease (I mention this one specifically because it's a damned good one.. stays where it's put, don't need to keep reapplying it, and so far it's washed out of everything it's gotten on) or Boy Butter (you might need to find a shop that caters more to gay men for that one).
One of the first glass ones I got (first ones from the company I adore!)... slightly curved, one end has a single *head* on it, the opposite end has a double bump to it, along the curved handle is a small grouping of smaller bumps (more on those later). Curved works for first timers well because there's this whole *rigid* factor. For me it was.. *My body isn't stick straight in there, a straight one will hurt (it doesn't, but that's what I was thinking)* Plus.. being slightly curved she can use it solo for gspotting if she is so inclined. The bumps.. yes the little bumps. Trust me when I say this... larger *small* bumps are better than smaller.. unless you happen to really like that ginger grater sensation. The larger *small* bumps are great for slipping over a clit or between the labia.. gently. The large bulb end is omgdelicious rubbed over the clit and held in place at her vaginal opening... drives me nuts and makes my hips shift on their own looking to seat that toy inside me.
Most women like the sensation of being *full*... and glass works well for this because even a thin piece has some significant weight behind it. For the most part.. glass is not necessarily for rough use. This stuff is made from borosilicate, Pyrex... so breaking them, while not impossible, is not super easy either. They won't break during normal use unless there's a defect in the piece... or if you drop it on a hard surface, check it carefully for chips or cracks and discard it if it's damaged.

They don't strip the natural moisture we have, easy to clean and most definately more hygenic. Some are absolutely beautiful works of art, I have a pink one that is my pride and joy.
They work well either hot or cold, are compatible with bodily fluids and lube and can last a lifetime.
I prefer mine curved, I experimented and bought a straight one and it didn't work well for me but every woman is different. | |

I had the same trepidations.. trust me... USE IT! Don't tell her... just surprise her with it. And don't bother warming it up! Hehehe.. the first caress of the cold glass on her hot flesh...
