| | moving - please help change my locationPage 1 of 1 | I have edited my profile and it shows my new location. is there any way to reset your location completely? I see my 'matches' as from thousands of miles/km away, and even worse, they see me! I get emails from people in my old location who havent noticed my new location at the top of my profile. if they click on my profile the 'users who have last checked their email within 50 km of' me are from my old city!
is there any way to reset this???
thanks for the help! | |

If your postal code is really correct for your new location try another one nearby, possibly with a major post office in it.
Run the advanced search and I think that will fix the match's for ya I believe.
If all looks good go through msg 3. http://forums.plentyoffish.com/datingPosts7892295.aspx

| moving - please help change my location Posted: 5/4/2009 11:12:06 PM | thanks to both of you gentlemen for trying to help me! it is nice that people are willing to try to help.
no. it is not fixed. (yes, it does say I am in queensland and has for months) the advanced search and its cookies have been fine for months - if I do a manual search, it already automatically comes up fine and understands the State I am in.
I have had this problem for six months and dont think it ever will be fixed. SOOOO frustrating.
I even tried putting in a post code and city that was bigger and that it recognized (maybe not for long enough? I put it back after that didnt seem to fix the problem).
if I do 'my matches' it still tells me that people in other states are within 50 miles of me. (even though it clearly understands what state I am in!)
I really dont want to start a new profile and start over!!!!
I wouldnt mind the problem so much except I keep getting mail from thousands of miles away! | |
